Ryūko's POV:
The room was quiet. No one raised their hand at first till some boy did. Then it started getting more and more people to leave. I didn't care for who was leaving, but I was shocked at who I heard next. It was Naruto.
"Don't underestimate me! I don't quit and I don't run! You can act tough all you want. You guys are going to scare me off. No way! I don't care if I do you get stuck as a Genin for the rest of my life. I'll be Hokage someday!" He said as he stood up.
He said it so well, he said it like he wouldn't lie. And I knew he wasn't. Since I knew he wanted to be Hokage. I smirked somewhat to myself, having Naruto smirk, sitting down and crossing his arms.
"This decision is one that could change your life. If for any reason you would rather quit, no I was your last chance," Ibiki exclaimed.
"No way. I never go back on my word. That's the way of the ninja," Naruto replied.
There was a moment of silence, having Ibiki walk a bit closer to the desks. He looked around the room, nodding after a second, and looking back at the lot of us.
"Well then, I admire your determination, if nothing else. For those of you remaining there's only one thing left to do. And that's for me to tell you that you've all passed the first exam."
The room seemed to have a shocked aura around it. I continued to tap my pencil slowly, just wanting for the exams to continue. I zoned out, just staring at the man upfront. A sudden crash caught me off guard, almost making me fall out of my seat. I looked back up, seeing the next proctor as well as a now big black banner that hung behind her. Anko Mitarashi was her name.
"Heads up, boys and girls. This is no time to be celebrating. I'll be you're next Proctor, Anko Mitatashi. you ready for the second test? Good! Then, let's go. Follow me!" She hollared, fist bumping the air.
I stared at her, confused. She reminded me of Naruto in a way.
"You're early again," Ibiki exclaimed, stepping somewhat out from behind the banner.
Anko faintly chuckled, seemingly embarrassed. I rolled my eyes slightly, finishing off the sketch. She bickered with Ibiki for a second before I felt eyes on me.
"Even that little adopted grandchild went through..." I felt her stare for a second, "Though I wouldn't expect anything else from a Hokage grandchild."
"And more spotlight...fuck..." I thought.
She continued to talk, letting us go home after she finished. I hopped up, adjusting my bag. I looked around a bit, noticing my squad had already left. I grabbed my paper, hurrying over towards Ibiki, and handing him the paper.
"I got every question done," I exclaimed, "I hope it isn't to much if you'll end up grading it."
I bowed in respect to the two adults before hurrying off out of the room. It only took a few minutes till I made it out of the building.
"What to do now...?" I mumbled.
I started walking down the sidewalk area, my mind just wandering. Not to much, just memories. Many of them.
The wind was quick, the trees where blowing, yet the candles around me were still. I stared down at the circle, triangles inside of it.
"You gonna do it?~"
I jumped a little, turning behind me and making eye contact with someone. Envy. I had known them for a while, and boy did I not exactly like them. Yet they didn't wanna kill me. Probably because I didn't try to hunt them down.
