Ryūko's POV:

The whole group and crowd around us was quiet. Some of them seemed shocked, some of them seemed upset, and the rest just stared. I stared as well, knowing who he was before he introduced himself. Iruka had explained to me that he would be the first Procter. Ibiki also knew who I was, being told who I was.

"First," He pointed towards the hidden sound village ninjas, "You candidates from the village hidden in the sound, knock it off! Who told you you could fight? Do you want to be failed before we've even begun?"

"Sorry. It's our first time. Guess we're a little jumpy...sir," The guy with bandages almost fully covering his face replied.

Ibiki scoffed lightly, "I'll say this once, so listen up. There will be no combat between candidates. No attacking each other without the permission of your proctor. And even then, do use a fatal force is strictly prohibited. Anyone who even thanks of messing with me will be disqualified immediately. Got it?"

His glare was pretty harsh, kinda like when Mustang glared. A truthful glare that is. The room was silent: no one replied. There wasn't a reason to. I watched as he gazed over the crowd a bit, his eyes landing on me for a second. I sent him a small nod as he looked fully forward again.

"Hmph. No fatal force. That's no fun," The other sound village boy stated.

"Speak for yourself, spiky hair," I mumbled, glaring over at him slightly. I did not like that guy at all at the moment.

A bunch of the other proctors behind Ibiki chuckled as he continued.

"Now, if we're ready, will proceed to the first stage of the Chunin Exam. Handover your paperwork. In return, you'll each be given a number. This number determines where are you will see it. We'll start the written test once you're all seated," Ibiki explained.

As the lot of us walked over towards the few with papers, Ibiki pulled me aside a bit.

"You'll be sitting in the first row on the very left. It'll be easier to where to bring your paper," He said.

I nodded, before getting my paper from him and following everyone into the room. It was pretty big, white walls and a big chalkboard in the front with a bunch of rows of seats. I made my way to the very front, talking a left, and sitting there. It was a silent room as everyone was were they were assigned. Ibiki hit a chalk stick against the board.

"Everyone, eyes front. There are a few rules you need to be aware of. And I won't answer any questions. So you better pay attention the first time around," He turned and started writing on the board, "All right. Rule number one is this. The written part of the exam is conducted on a point reduction system. Contrary to what some of you may be used to, you all begin the test with a perfect score of 10 points. One point will be deducted for each answer you get wrong."

Ibiki stopped writing, turning to face the lot of us, and show what he had written on the board.

"So if you miss three, your final score will be seven. Rule number two. Team so pass or fail based on the total scores of all three members."

The room seemed tenser, a few people gasping. I sighed to myself. I wasn't doing this exam as a part of my team, I was doing this alone. So if they fail then I'll be fine no matter what. This was just a look into what I could do.

"What? Wait a second! You're saying we all get scored as a team?" Sakura yelled at Ibiki.

"Silence! I have my reasons, so shut up and listen. Rule number three. The Sentinel CUC positions around the room are there to watch you carefully for any signs of cheating. And for every incident they spot, they will subtract two points from the corporate score. Be warned. Their eyes are extremely sharp. And if they catch you five times, you'll be dismissed before the tests are even scored," Ibiki stated.
