Ryūko's POV:

I sighed deeply, taking in the fresh air. Today was the first day of the Chunin exams and I was not looking forward to it. I had already gotten really deep into my studies of this place as well as helping out a bunch of people, so this was a rock in my path. And a big rock. I would miss at least 6 or 7 days of all that. After a bit of walking I reached the meet up area. Naruto and Sasuke were already there, I greet them with a small wave. I stood to the side, Sakura coming a few minutes after me.

"Sakura! Hey you're late," Naruto said.

"Ah right, sorry guys," She said, waving her hand.

She then looked over, staring at Sasuke for a moment.

"Good morning Sasuke," She said.

"Yeah," He replied blankly.

As we walked through the halls a crowd started appearing. I was a little confused since we only went up one flight, which wouldn't lead to the room. I walked a little a head of the others, pushing through the crowd, and seeing a boy get hit to the ground.

"Tch. You're taking the Chunin exams but you can't even get past us?" One of the boys said, he had two weapons on his back.

Another girl caught the boy, looking up at the two boys. I stood next to them staring down the boys.

"Why don't you just give up now before you get hurt," The other boy added.

"Ya I think I hear your mommy calling," The weapon one finished.

"Please let us through, we're supposed to go in there," The girl said, getting up.

She started walking up but then got hit in the face. That made her stumble backwards. I quickly walked up and caught her, wrapping my arms around her and going in front of her. This seemed to take the girl by surprise. The people around us started whispering about the girl, about it being bad.

"Did you say harsh? Don't kid yourself, we're being nice by comparison. The exams will make this look like a picnic," The weapon boy replied.

"Some of you won't survive the exams, others will be recked for life, and some of you may go crazy. For Chunin it's always life and death." The other boy said.

I let the girl go and placed her with her friend. I gave a small smile then turned back around and stared at the boys.

"You think it's a joke? Chunin are qualified to lead missions. Lives of your squad members on your hands, so you better be tough enough to take the heat. Delicate little girls, don't belong here," The weapon one said.

I snarled starting to walk towards the boys. They smirked, aiming for me. As the weapon one tried to slap me I caught his hand, shocking him. I threw it to the side, then slapping him instead.

"Listen here sniffles, don't talk smack if you can't bring the heat. If you want to, I can fight you. But truthfully, you wouldn't be able to do anything about it," I said, seriously.

He stared at me, then snarled, trying to hit me again. I grabbed his arm and threw him to the side. I then looked over to the other boy who seemed to go after Sasuke. But instead of them hitting each other the soup bowl haircut boy got in the middle. He stopped the attacks in mid air.

"Impressive..." I thought.

Before anything could happen I started walking off. My team didn't seem to follow me as I walked over to the girl.
