3rd person POV
You washed your hands in the sink before drying them with a paper towel. You planned to make cupcakes for all of your Crystal Gem friends. "Hey there (y/n)!" The voice of Steven made you jump as it was sudden. "Oh hey there Steven, I'm just about to make some cupcakes. Would you like to help me?" You knew how much Steven enjoyed making and baking things but before he could reply Pearl appeared to stop him. "Steven, you do know you're supposed to be training now."
"B-but, cake." Pearl grabbed Steven's hand and marched towards the warp pad.

"Hey Pearl, who am I supposed to make cupcakes with now?!" You watched Steven and Pearl walk onto of the warp pad before turning to face you. "Well Jasper will be back soon so she can help you." You just stood there, waiting for them to warp away. "Oh, (y/n), save some for meeee!" Steven exclaimed before warping off, leaving you alone in silence. You just rolled your eyes and tied an apron around your waist before picking up the eggs, that was on the counter, and started to crack them on the edge of the mixing bowl.

Suddenly the front door swung open which startled you, causing you to drop an egg on the floor. "Jasper! You made me drop an egg on the floor!" You watched her as she laughed at you and walked towards you, leaning against the counter towering over you. "What are you even making (y/n)?" She asked in a bored tone. "Well, Jasper, I'm making cupcakes." You cleaned up the splattered egg on the floor and then took out a new one, cracking it gently on the side of the bowl and then pouring it in.

"Can you pass me the caster sugar please?" Jasper stretched over and grabbed the bag of sugar and slammed it in front of you by 'accident', causing some sugar to spill on the surface. "Jasper, you're so heavy handed." You joked before tapping her hand, causing her to blush but you didn't notice as you picked the bag up and poured out the needed amount of sugar. Jasper just watched you from in front. "You know what, get your butt over here and help me make these cupcakes." Jasper was a bit confused as she had never made cakes before.

Jasper's POV
I walked round till I was behind (y/n), resting my chin on her shoulder because I just felt like it. I noticed her cheek felt warm and she seemed a bit flustered. I watched her as she added more weird ingredients into the bowl. I grabbed a bar that (y/n) just used and put down. It was pale yellow and squishy. "That you've got there is called butter." She said to me so I figured it's something humans like her eat. I peeled back the foil wrapper and took a bite out of it, out of curiosity of course. The taste was weird and the texture made me gag as I tried to swallow it. "Jasper! Your not supposed to eat it by itself!" She shouted at me as I went to the bin and spat it out as the entirety of my mouth was covered in this butter.

When I finished hurling the butter up I joined with (y/n) as she pour this white powder with the other weird things she put in the bowl. I pulled the packet out of her hands and it read 'flour'. "Don't even think about eating that, Jasper, because it's worst than the butter." I took her word for it and left the flour on the counter and resumed my position on (y/n)'s shoulder again, watching her grab some weird thing that humans use to mix things with. "Take this" She just handed it to me but I didn't have a clue as to what I was supposed to do with it. "It's called a whisk and you use to mix things. Now, I want you to mix all these things together in the bowl using what I gave you."

I shrugged my shoulders and got to mixing. Couldn't hide the fact that I made a mess but (y/n) didn't seem to care as she watched over me. I started to figure that she asked me to mix because I was a bit difficult as everything kept sticking to the whisk. Stupid thing.

Your POV
I placed the cupcake tray, with paper cases on, next to Jasper as she continued to mix very intensely. "Ok Jasper that enough mixing." I took the bowl off of her and set it on the table. "What are you doing?" Jasper asked as I took out a spoon from a drawer. "I'm going to pour the mix into each of the paper cases and then put them in the oven to bake them. Watch me." I scooped out a spoon full of the cake batter and tipped it into the paper cup. After I filled up 5 cupcake cases I felt Jasper rest her head on my shoulder again, her cheek next to mine. It made me feel warm but I continued to pour the cake batter out.

It only took me two minutes to finish off pouring out the batter and then I handed the bowl to Jasper. "Here, you can lick the rest of the batter out of the bowl." I took the tray and placed it in the oven that was preheated before turning around and finding Jasper eating the rest of the mix. I some how found it cute but I shook my head and laughed at her. "Now we have to wait for them to bake, Jasper, so now we can clean up the mess YOU made."
