3rd Person POV
You had sat by the window in Steven's house, watching the heavy rain fall from the sky. Everyone had left apart from Amethyst who was busy in her room. Steven let you stay round his house until the storm had cleared up as you would of had to walk in the pouring rain and would end up sick. You had known Steven for a while so you knew everything about the Crystal Gems from the stories he told you in the past but they didn't let you join them on one of their 'magical' adventures as Garnet said it was two dangerous for you, so you were left in the house with Amethyst watching over you.

You watched the rain drops slide down the window until you heard the door activate and saw Amethyst step out of her room. "Oh hey (Y/n). Whacha doing over there?" Amethyst pointed out as she headed over to the fridge. "Nothing really. Just watching the rain." You replied as Amethyst started rummaging around and pulled out a soda can. "Hah! Sounds boring." She said as she ate the soda can whole with ease. "Why don't you do something more fun, like play video games or watch tv?" You shrugged your shoulders as you looked back out of the window

"Lemme guess. Your worried about your boring school work right?" You nodded quietly as you thought about all the homework you had to catch up on. "I'm going to have to catch up on so much homework when I get home."
"Homework is for losers. Besides, you can't worry about that now. You can help me make some weird stuff from the fridge." You thought about it for a second before obliging. You always had fun when you did something mischievous with Amethyst. Amethyst gave you a high five before opening and looking in the fridge again, looking at all the different stuff.

Amethyst grabbed some food items from the fridge and placed them on the counter. "There. That should be enough." You observed all the food on the table as Amethyst began throwing and blending things together. You helped as well until you both created a monstrosity. It was definitely an unpleasant sight. "Alright, you can eat it first." Amethyst said as she watched you stare at the pile of 'food' on the counter. "Only a bit." You said as you took a small out of it, soon pulling your face due to how disgusting it was. Amethyst only began to laugh.

"Jeez, it can't be that bad." Amethyst said as she picked up the whole thing and ate it. "See, wasn't that bad."
"That's because you eat junk, like every day." You said as you crossed your arms and pouted. "Hah, Whatever. The others should be back soon so let's watch some tv or something." Amethyst suggested as she headed up to where the tv was and switched it on. You followed behind and sat on the edge of Steven's bed as a random tv program aired. It wasn't that interesting because it was something to pass the time.

Time Skip
You and amethyst had been watching recorded episodes of Crying Breakfast Friends for the past hour, munching on random snacks you found in the cupboards and fridge. It was still raining heavily outside with thunder in the distance. You weren't a big fan of the thunder as you found it scary when really loud. Steven and the others hadn't arrived back yet and it was starting to get dark as the evening approached. "They are sure are taking their time on this one." Amethyst said as she stared at the tv screen. You just shrugged your shoulders and ate some crisps.

As you were eating, lightning struck near by followed by the loud boom of thunder, sending you flying, in terror, towards Amethyst and hiding your face in her long fluffy hair. "Amethyst I'm scared, make it stop." You muffled as you clung on to Amethyst's arm tightly. "Everything is fine (y/n) it's just thunder." She reassured you as she patted your head, expecting you to let go. But you didn't. "I don't like it. It's going to happen again." Amethyst didn't know what to do with you as the rain only got heavier as the storm got worse outside

"Well I'm here so nothing is going to get you. You can hide under the covers!" Amethyst said enthusiastically and you soon let go of her arm and looked at her. Amethyst, not caring, pulled the blanket off so Steven's bed  and over your head, hiding you from the out side world. You heard thunder in the distance so you scooted closer to the gem in case it happened again. You were now watching tv from under the blanket, feeling safer than before. "See, this is awesome." Amethyst threw her hands up in the air making you laugh a bit.

Not long after you heard the warp pad activate and you looked over to see Pearl, Steven and Garnet. "Hey (y/n)." Steven said as he run up to you. "You guys are finally back. What took so long?" You asked as you stood up with the blanket over you still. "Just got I little bit caught up with some stuff." Garnet said. "That's right. Did you two behave whilst we were out?" You didn't know what to say as you and Amethyst did decide to make a mess earlier. "Of course P. I took care of (y/n) with no problem, apart from when she cried like a baby about the thunder." Amethyst teased as she ruffled your hair. "Hey that's not true!" You lied.

I'm an eternal flame baby! And I'm back to write more one shots. This was based off of one of my phobias which is loud noises (I know, weird right.) I can't stand loud noises, especially fire alarms as they scare the sugar out of me and then I start to cry automatically. Any imma go bed now. Good night.♥︎
