I wanted to try and do something different rather than staying in the SU universe so yeah. Hope you enjoy the story.

It was a normal day and you had just locked up your bike outside of college. A few people began to walk in as it was early in the morning. You looked at you watch and it read 7:35am. "Oh crap, I'm five minutes late for my study already." You sighed as you quickly walked in the college and into the canteen area where Amethyst and Garnet sat at a table, waiting for you. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late." You apologised as you dumped you bag by a chair and took out a text book to study. "It's fine (y/n)." Garnet said as she was fixated in a book she was reading and Amethyst was just doodling on a piece of paper. "Hey guys? Where is Pearl?" You questioned as Pearl was always the first one here.

"Hah! You mean your 'love'." Amethyst teased you as your cheeks began to heat up. "Shut up. That's not true." You lied. You've had a crush on Pearl for a while and both Amethysts and Garnet knew about it but promised that they wouldn't tell anyone. "She's just getting us coffees, she'll be back shortly." Garnet said, resting her book on the table. "So, made any daring moves yet?" She continued, catching you off guard. "What? No." You huffed as you hid your face in your book. You didn't have the guts to tell Pearl how you felt about her.

"I'm back guys, sorry that took so long. The queue was longer than I expected." Pearl had finally got back from her little mission, carrying four coffees in her hands. "I figured that you would have arrived by the time I got back so I took the initiative and bought you one, (y/n). Just how you like it and be careful, it's hot" Pearl said as she placed your coffee in front of you and took a seat beside you. "T-thanks." You mumbled as you took a sip, staring at Garnet and Amethyst who were smirking.

As you sipped your coffee you flicked through some pages from your book, quickly taking notes on curtain information until you noticed how quiet everyone was being. You looked up from your book to see Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet dip their heads into their books, as if they had been watching you. You got a bit suspicious but shook it off, flicking through important pages and taking mental notes. Meanwhile Amethyst and Garnet were silently communicating with Pearl, teasing her as she sat next to you, making her blush. You were oblivious to this as you thought everyone was reading.

"Oh wow is that the time?" You heard Garnet say in a monotone but sarcastic voice. "Looks like me and Amethyst have to go to class early today, goodbye now." You silently watched in confusion as Garnet and Amethyst got up and left, leaving you with Pearl. "Um, what was all that about?" You asked as you turned to look at Pearl. "I -er I don't know, how about another drink?" You raised an eyebrow, yet again confused but accepted the offer. Pearl got up and gave you a nervous smile before walking off to get another drink for you.

You watched as Pearl hurried away before you returned to your book. You couldn't help but think about how weird everyone was being today. Maybe it was something to do with you. "Did I do or say something wrong? No of course not, maybe Amethyst and Garnet told Pearl something embarrassing about me." You said to yourself quietly, looking over at Pearl, who was still waiting in line, admiring her and then to your watch which read 7:50am. "Great. My class doesn't start for another 40 minutes. Guess I've still got time to do some more cram revision beforehand."

As you continued to quickly flick through the pages of your book, Pearl placed your drink, she bought, in front of you. "Here you go, I got you an iced latte with cream this time." You placed your book down and stared at the plastic cup for a second. "Thanks Pearl, I'll pay you back tomorrow." You said as you didn't like being in dept with people. "Oh don't be ridiculous. It's on me." Pearl took her seat next to you again and picked her own book up and began to read through it from were she had left off from.

Mini Time Skip
It was now 8:20am and you and Pearl started to pack up your stuff for class. After you zipped your bag up and flipped it on your back, you threw your empty cup in the bin and joined back up with Pearl. "Thanks for buying me the drinks and staying with me." You said as she picked up her own bag. "Oh it's nothing." Pearl chuckled. "I can walk you to your lesson if you want." You blushed at the fact that Pearl wanted to walk you to the lesson. "As long as you're not late."

You and Pearl started to walk to your class in silence. Pearl gave you glances every now and again, waiting for the perfect time. "What subject do you have now Pearl?" You asked, concerned that she would be late because of you. "Oh just History but I can tell that you're concerned about me being late." You nodded in response. "Well you don't have to worry about me. I'll be able to make it to my class." She reassured you. You both walked down a corridor with multiple students walking past until you reached your class and turned to Pearl.

"Thanks for walking me to my class, Pearl." You said. "I'll see you around and don't be late." You turned around and walked into your classroom. Pearl took this chance to take out a small written note, she had written before hand and slipped it into your back pocket before she walked off to her lesson. You walked in your class and walked to the back in the room, taking your seat. You felt the folded paper Pearl secretly placed, in your pocket, causing you discomfort so you took it out and opened it up to reveal neat hand writing.

You instantly recognised that it was from Pearl from the neat hand writing. It had read 'I didn't really know how to say this to your face but I really wanted to meet up with you after your lessons were finished and talk to you alone. Meet me at the front. Pearl.~' You felt your heart skip a beat as you read the note over and over again to make sure you weren't seeing things. You didn't know what she wanted to talk to you about but you got worried. Maybe it was something you had done or she wanted to tell you something important.

Time Skip (again)
During your lesson you couldn't get Pearl out of your mind. You kept thinking about all the possible things she wanted to talk to you about. You ended up getting distracted in class which prevented you from doing any of your work until the lesson had finished. You packed all your stuff and hurried out of the room before anyone tried talking to you. Your main priority was getting to Pearl to find out what she wanted to say to you. You walked through the college building towards the entrance and left the building.

You saw Pearl standing to the side waiting for you so you approached. "Hey." You said timidly. "I read your note and you wanted to meet me." Pearl looked around for a bit before speaking up. "Let's go somewhere more private." She said before grabbing your hand and leading you around the building to a spot where no one really goes. It was finally quiet with no students around. Your heart was racing fast as you waited for this moment. "Was it something I did or-?" You said. Suddenly, out of the blue Pearl grabbed your chin and pulled you into a quick kiss, catching you off guard.

Pearl suddenly realised what she had done and gasped. "Oh I apologise. I didn't know what was going through my head." She said, panicking. "No it's fine Pearl." You interrupted. You enjoyed it and you didn't want her to worry about it. "Well, I just wanted to say that I had some feelings for you." Pearl confessed quietly. "I decided to tell you after Amethyst and Garnet told me about your feelings towards me." She said. "Wait. They told you?!" You questioned, almost angry that they didn't keep your secret but also relieved that Pearl shared similar feelings for you.

"So what are we going to do now?" You asked awkwardly, unsure of what to do next. You felt Pearl grab your chin and pull you into another kiss, this time it was more meaningful than the first time. You soon warmed up to it, returning the favour. It lasted for about a minute before you both pulled away for air. "Well that was something." You said as you caught your breath. "Well I can walk with you home, if you want." Pearl offered as she leaned against the wall with you. "Sure but I have to get my bike first."
