You sat outside of the barn on a bail of straw, staring up at the sky above you and watching the stars go by over your head. Peridot and Lapis were inside, probably sleeping because they have nothing else better to do at night. You didn't feel like sleeping right now as you were worried about Home World and other things. You had recently joined the Crystal Gems as you ran away. You were just scared that you would be shattered for your actions by the diamonds. You sighed as you could see Home World's galaxy. It was just a bright spec in the sky, making you feel better over how for away it is from the earth you're on.

You were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn't realise someone was standing by you. "(G/n) are you ok? I saw you sitting out here by yourself so I took it upon me to check on you." You turned to face Peridot, who was peering around the barn door. "Oh hey Peridot. I was just looking at the stars in the sky." You turn the face the stars again as Peridot approached you. "You're not worried about Home World are you?" You just sighed in response before Peridot climbed up onto the bail and sat down next to you. "Don't worry (G/n), I'll make sure that those clods don't touch or hurt you at all." You felt Peridot slide her arm around your back, making you heat up and blush a bit.

Ever since you arrived on earth and joined the Crystal Gems, you developed a slight crush on green gem. You loved how she tried to adapt to new things and her courageous manner. You found it cute. You've always wanted to tell Peridot how you were feeling about her but you were either always nervous or something would happen when you tried. You didn't know if she felt the same way about you so you ended up staying quiet. The only person who knew your secrets was Lapis. You would usually tell her everything as you both became good friends. She would usually give you some advice on what to do.

There was a long silence between you two as you both looked at the bright stars together. You could feel that Peridot's arm was still tight around you which seemed to comfort you. You decided to break the silence with a simple question. "How come you're not inside sleeping? You and Lapis are usually snoring away by this time." You joking mentioned. "What! I don't snore. Lapis does." Peridot pouted and crossed her arms before continuing. "And I couldn't sleep. I was just watching you from inside and tried figuring out what you were thinking about all by yourself out here."

You nodded and looked back into the never ending space. "You sure that Home World isn't the only thing that's on your mind?" You looked over to Peridot as she said those words to you, unable to formulate a response. Peridot had a curtain look in her eyes which told you that she knew some things that you tried keeping to yourself. "Y-yeah, you know." You said quickly with a nervous laugh at the end, trying to play it cool. Your secrets had to have been safe. No one else knew about your feelings for Peridot apart from Lapis lazuli.

"Lapis...shared some secrets of yours with me." Of course she did. You began to feel embarrassed as you now knew that lapis told Peridot about your feelings towards her. You just sat there in silence, unsure on what to say anymore. "I'm guessing I've been on your mind too then?" Peridot placed her small hand over yours and stared directly at you. You felt shocked as you stared back at her. Your (e/c) eyes glistened in the star light. "You could have just told me how you were feeling you big clod." Peridot chuckled lightly making you relax a bit.
