3rd Person POV
You sat in a barn, alone in the dark corner. You were a Quartz Soldier from Home World and you had recently been left on earth by your crew as they attempted to run away from the 'Crystal Gems'. You were captured by the Crystal Gems but they seemed to let you hide out in a barn as you thought about your home and held grudges against the gems that left you behind on the planet. Mixed emotions ran through your mind, mainly negative ones such as anger, sadness and fear as you knew that your crew wouldn't return for you any time soon or at all.

It was difficult to spot you as you were curled up in the darkest corner with your arms around your knees and your face buried in them, hiding yourself for the outside world and their dangers. You were too caught up in your feelings that you didn't notice someone was standing at the entrance of the barn you stayed in. "Hey." A soft voice said as you shot your head up quickly to see who it was. You saw a slender figure stand far from you, watching you constantly. You saw that the figure had light blue skin, dark blue hair and wore a blue and black top, and wore a long flowing skirt of the same colour.

"A Lapis?" You quietly whispered to yourself and kept your eyes on the gem. "I just came to check on you because you've stayed in here for a couple of days now." You just grumbled and growled to yourself, in response, as you stared at the mystery Lapis. "What do you traitors want with me?" You quietly asked as you were scared that they were going to hurt you, or worse, shatter you. "Nothing really. We're not going to hurt you." The Lapis said calmly. She began to slowly approach you so you snapped at her, out of terror. "STAY BACK, DON'T COME CLOSE!"

Lapis' POV
I stopped in my tracks as the large quartz soldier screamed at me out of terror. Me and the rest of the Crystal Gems would take turns watching over her and it was now my turn to do so. Peridot told me that all she did was scowl and growl at her during her little shift. "Fine, I'll just sit here then." I sat on the floor at the entrance. I wanted to help her become more comfortable and make her realise that Home World was just using her for her abilities. So far, all she did was watch me carefully which was a bit creepy."

I could tell that she was beyond scared. The way the Quartz soldier cowered away in the corner was enough to say so. "You don't have to be scared of us." I called out to her. "If we were a threat to you, we would of shattered you already." I noticed that she flinched when I said 'shattered'. She must be really tense. I had to think of something to say, at least try and calm her down. "Do you know what gem I am?" Maybe that would get this Quartz talking. "A lapis~" I barely managed to hear her as she hid her mouth.

"Y-yeah that's right. Now your turn. What are you?" I watched her hesitate and was probably deciding wether or not to answer my question. "(G/n)." She finally answered me quietly. She suddenly shifted a bit and I could see her (s/c) arm and her (h/l), (h/c) hair in the light. "Why won't you traitors hurt me? I don't understand!" I see sparkles of tears begin to form in her eyes. "I'm just a worthless, disposable gem." I started to feel sympathetic for her as I began to think that's what they told her back on Home World. I could some how relate to her confusion and upset after she was betrayed by her little gem squad she came with at first only to be left somewhere different and unknown.

"Well...I don't think you're worthless." I replied back, trying to sound as friendly as possible. I watched as small streams of tears ran down (G/n)'s cheeks. Slowly but surely, she was softening up. I was still a bit anxious as she was much bigger than me and she could literally get up and poof me, even shatter, but (G/n) seemed to be content in her little comfort corner for now. She could become a great asset to the team if she decided to join us. I decided now was the best time to get closer to her.

I got up slowly and began moving towards (G/n) who was still in the corner of the barn. Instead of her screaming at me this time, she just tucked her self into a tighter ball. It got to the point where I was right next to her. I sat down with my back against the wall glancing up at her next to me. She peeked back at me, clearly unsure of what to do or say. I just placed a hand on her shoulder gently and all she did was watch me. Maybe speaking to her will ease her up. "I understand how you feel (G/n)." I started.

"What? How can you know how I feel!? My crew abandoned me on this forsaken, hopeless hunk of rock and now I'm going to be shattered for my actions when I get back to Home World."
"Not if you stay with me." I saw that (G/n) give me an odd look as she stayed silent. "At first I didn't exactly enjoy being here either but my friends made me feel at home. We don't want you shattered, so why don't you stay with us instead of going back to Home World?" (G/n) looked as if she was thinking about it deeply.

Your POV
The Lapis persuaded me to stay and join them. I didn't know what to do. Either go back and face execution or stay and join the traitors. Something inside of me was telling me to stay here with the Crystal gems. After all I was betrayed by my own crew. Left behind to be captured...or saved? "I guess I don't that a choice as my only option is to stay. I doubt you guys would let me go back to Home World anyway." I heard Lapis chuckle lightly as she held onto my shoulder, making me blush a bit.

"Don't worry (G/n), you'll start to get used to Earth soon and everyone is pretty nice here too." Lapis said. "Heh, I think I might stay in here for a while." I told her quietly as I looked at the outside world beyond the barn entrance. "That's fine, me and Peridot can keep you company in the mean while." I nodded and thanked her for her kindness towards me. I felt as if I could trust her now. She seemed much nicer than any of the other gems and she actually talked to me even though I was scared.

Me and Lapis just sat in the barn a talked to each other. She told me about things I never even knew myself, like what eating was, the different life forms that lived here and something called sleep. She also repeated that she didn't snore, even though I don't even know what it meant. All I knew at first was that I broke free of the earth's crust in one of the kindergartens and was shipped off to Home World to serve under the diamonds' rule. Thinking about it, I finally began to feel free. I didn't have to follow strict rules from any diamonds or their agates. Maybe staying here will be much more better. With Lapis.
