"Fine!" Marinette gasped for air and the invisible choke uncoiled its fingers.

It's a deal

Then the connection broke and Marinette fell to her knees, trembling. She put her face in her hands and started crying.

———

"Janus... we can't do this! I-I'll be your body! Don't hurt Adrien, or his friends!" Gabriel pleaded, looking into the mirror.

"Gabriel, you are not fitting to be my host. Until I prove myself to the gods by saving them, and get my old body back, we must find some on more suitable." Janus grinned from the golden head.

"And Who is suitable?"

"... you wife! Which is why if Adrien makes the, right choice, I get her body. And the deal is done! But that Percy Jackson kid will find a way to stop my plan. He will also get to the gods first, making me unworthy. Therefore, Marinette has to get rid of him!" Janus laughed evilly in a low chuckle.

"The little fashion girl? Why her?" Gabriel gasped.

"She has the power of Zeus within her! He is the king of the gods! She will easily get rid of him!"

"But-"

"Gabriel I grow sick of this. You have no power here! Only I do!" Janus roared and Gabriel fell silent.

"She'll... she won't do it! He won't either! Adrien and Marinette will resist!"

"Then I'll send some one after them to change their minds..." Janus said darkly.

———

"Marinette's in trouble." Grover simplified. "Janus... he's spoken to her!"

"ω Θεέ μου!" Percy cussed and grabbed Annabeth's wrist. "We need to leave, now!" He tugged her away from the counter and ran with her and Grover towards the door.

"That means he's probably made a deal with her! And that can't be good!" Annabeth grabbed her laptop. All three dashed from the door.

"How do you know, Grover?" Percy asked.

"I don't know... I just got a feeling... like she must have some how contacted me or something!" Grover tried to explain.

"Hmm.. the river's the quickest way." And without warning he pulled all three of them into the canal outside. He made a large air bubble for the two, the made the current Swipe them away to the bakery.

The plunged out from the waters to see two woman grinning evilly at them, standing just outside the bakery. They looked as though they had hopped from a museum exhibit and learned to walk, like they were sculptures.. statues. They looked almost identically with the most creepiest wide grin they had ever seen. A look of insanity was in ones eyes, and madness in the other's. Grover froze, petrified. So did Annabeth.

"Who are they?" Percy whispered.

"It's... it's Lytta and Maniae... spirits of insanity and madness." Annabeth stammered, her heart pounding heavily. She tightened her grip on Percy's hand.

"I thought they are gods..?" Percy wondered.

"Only in s-some st-stories." Grover trembled.

"They will make some on go mad in a instant.. or go crazy! She can multiply too!" Annabeth explained.

"She...? You mean they?" Percy thought he corrected her.

"N-no. Technically they are one soul... one spirit... but they are two at the same time." Annabeth answered.
