More Than a Fan || LRH

Part 1: The Very Beginning

My name is Skylar Madison Rain. I'm 18 years old. I was once just another fan at a 5SOS concert and now I'm dating my hero. I actually met the boys on my birthday. I was a fan selected to go backstage after the show. Little did I know I would be dating Luke a month later. This is how it all happened...

"One very lucky fan here tonight will get to come backstage after the show and meet the band! All you gotta do right now is prove to us that you should be the one we get to meet. " Luke announced over the screaming fans, who just screamed louder after he said that.

"On the count of 3 text the number 52845 with a reason why you should meet us!" Ashton continued.

Between the loud screams Calum says, "Get out your phones and be ready!"

I grabbed out my phone right before Michael shouted "1...2....3...GO!!!!!!!!!"

I opened the messaging app and sent in "I have pizza! ;)" I giggled typing it. I didn't take it seriously because I didn't think I would win. I mean I'm just 1 out of the thousands of fans here. The boys play two more songs ( Beside You and Amnesia) then went to an intermission. When they came back out it was time to announce the winner. The boys came on stage.

Luke grabs the mic, "Okay a ton of you guys sent in reasons why you are the lucky one."

"It was a tought choice to mak--" Calum was interrupted by Michael, " Cal, what are you talking about it was an easy choice! SHE SAID SHE HAD PIZZA!"

"Don't give it away we want her to be surprised!" Ashton said.

Luke shook his head at the idiots arguing and chuckles, "I'm going to text the lucky fan in this room, so everyone be very quiet so we can here her scream."

I pulled out my phone and held it in my hands. Waiting to see if maybe I was the one. After a minute my phone lit up with message from and unknown number. I unlocked my phone and opened the message "Hey! Guess what? It's you! x Luke Hemmings" I started to freak out. Was this real?... Yes it was!

"OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! ITS ME! AHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed as Luke starts laughing along with the other boys. Michael looks at security and tells them to go give a pass.

When the concert ended the security guy came and took me backstage. I followed him though countless hallways to the boys dressing room. I knocked then walked in.

"Hey you must be our lucky fan." Luke said while smiling.

"Yep that's me" I replied nervous. I looked at Luke smiling when Micheal walks up asking "Where's the pizza?"

I laughed an replied, "You seriously thought I brought pizza with me to a concert?"

"No" Michael replied blushing from embarrassment.

Ashton walked in and introduced himself, "hi, I'm Ashton."

I replied, " I'm Skylar."

"Its nice to meet you," Calum said pulling his head out of the fridge.

This was so unreal. I was literally standing infront of my heros. I'm so totally a Luke girl. I'm dying inside but trying to keep it cool!

"Skylar. That's a beautiful name to fit a beautiful girl," Luke says while winking.

"Thanks Luke," I replied while blushing.

"So where are you from?" Ashton said to interrupt Luke's flirt session.

"I'm from Carefree, Arizona. Its a small town." I said while giggling.

"Holy shit you literally live in a place called Carefree? That's Awesome!" Micheal said excitedly.

I looked up with the straightest face possible and said, "I'm a very sophisticated person. Don't underestimate me." I was completely monotone the whole time and Michael looked horrified.

"Uh... sorry... I- I didn't mean to offend you or anything..." Michael said, shying away.

"I was joking! Relax! You look like somebody just neutered you!" I said laughing so hard i couldn't feel my stomach.

" I literally thought she was being serious! Oh my goodness that was the funniest thing ever!" Calum snorted.

"That was comedy gold!" Ashton yelled.

"You are seriously the only on who uses comedy gold!" Luke struggled to say between breaths.

I had a feeling that this was going to be the start of a long friendship. The rest of my time there we ate pizza, watched movies and got to know each other. It kinda sucked that, you know, this is a once in a life time opportunity and I'll probably never see them again.

When got home from the most amazing night of my life and I hear something that sounds like it's dying. I turned the corner to see my best friend Logan Harper James screaming Panic! at the Disco lyrics at the top of her lungs with her head in my fridge eating a pickle.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.

"Playing soccer, duh! What does it look like I'm doing?" Logan replied sarcastically.

"You're such an asshole you know that?" I said to Logan

Logan replied while smiling, "I know but you love me anyway."

"How was your Panic! At the Disco concert?" I asked her.

"How was your 18th birthday? Going to that band's concert that you're obsessed with. The one with the cute colorful haired dude! 6 minutes of spring? Is that right?" She questioned.

"It was perfect... I got to meet them! it was so awesome and Luke was flirting with me and- well I'll stop because I don't want to rant but I got their numbers! They're 5 Seconds of Summer, Harp, get it right." I sassily replied, snapping my fingers.

"I got to meet Brendon! The lead singer! He's SO HOT and SO NICE! Ugh I could melt!" Logan fangirled.

We fangirled for an hour then went up to bed. I laid down and at that moment my phone buzzed. It was a message from Luke. This is strange. They probably would've forgotten me by now. I opened the message anyway and it read "I had such a great time tonight. The boys and I were wondering if maybe we could hang out tomorrow if that's alright with you? x"

I replied, "Yeah I would love to! See you tomorrow at 12. I live about 40 minutes from Phoenix we can pick a meeting place tomorrow."

"No we'll pick you up what's your address?"

"Are you sure? It's out of your way. "

"Yeah 100%. It's completely fine. "

"It's 245 Summer Drive. My best friend Logan is here is it okay if she comes with us?"

"Yeah that's fine. We'll see you both at noon. :)"

"I'm looking forward to it. :) it's 1am so I'm gonna go to sleep. I'll see you later. Goodnight Lukey."

"Sweet dreams Sky. :) I can't wait to see you tomorrow."

I locked my phone, smiling like an idiot. They haven't forgotten and they want to see me again. This is the best birthday ever. I closed my eyes and drifted into my dreams. I can't wait until tomorrow.
