Part 71

"Steven! (Y/n)!" Everyone turned to find Amethyst and Pearl rubbing towards them.
Steven stood in front of them while (Y/n) continues to comfort Xipilli. Pearl and Amethyst summon their weapons.
"Wait, guys! It's okay! He's calmed down!" Steven reinsured.
"Are you sure? He was attacking (Y/n)." Pearl pointed her spear at Xipilli.
"He's fine now. We've found out the reason why he held a grudge against me." (Y/n) told them as he continued to hug Xipilli.
Slowly they lowered their weapons and stared at them. "Are you guys okay?" Amethyst asked. "We're fine." Steven replies. "No broken bones or worse." Sour Cream adds.
"Not only that, but my powers are back." (Y/n) allows her tears to fall from her eyes. Pearl and Amethyst saw that they were being effective by it. They were thrilled that she's got her powers back.
"Now that everything's cleared up. What are we gonna do about Spinel? Where did she go?" Steven questioned.
"I know where." Xipilli wipes away his tears. "I saw her running to that house."
Xipilli was pointed at the beach house. (Y/n) stood up as she held Xipilli up.
"We have to find Spinel." (Y/n) in Wolf's back and she helps Xipilli on. Steven got on Lion's back.
"Can you guys take Sour Cream with the others?" (Y/n) asked. Amethyst and Pearl nods.
"Be safe, guys." Sour Cream said. "We'll be fine." (Y/n) pecks his cheek as they rode their animal companions away.
As the half gems and their animal companions are in their way to the beach house. Steven clutched his gem in pain and exhaustion.
"Just this morning, everything was perfect. Why did everything have to change? I want my happily ever after back." Steven stated.
As they all made it to the house, they spotted a glow shinning from within the warp room.
"That's got to be her." Xipilli said. They all hopped off Lion and Wolf.
"Go find Connie. We need all hands on deck." Steven said to Lion. "Go check if the others are alright." (Y/n) told Wolf.
Lion roared a portal, while Wolf uses her claws to create a portal on her own as they both went on their own missions. Steven, (Y/n), and Xipilli entered the house and found Spinel sitting on the warp pad feeling depressed.
"Spinel? What's wrong?" Steven asked.
Spinel turns to face Steven, (Y/n), and Xipilli as she was sobbing causing them to flinch. "I just started getting these feelings flooding back to me." Spinel cries. "That's -- That's good. I need you to remember. If you don't, something really bad will happen to me and my home. Please, think!" Steven begged. Spinel, do you remember the garden?" (Y/n) asked. "The garden?" Spinel repeated. "Is anything coming back to you?" Xipilli asked.
Remembering her past, Spinel briefly smiles, looking back on her happy memories... before degrading into a destroyed frown. In anguish, Spinel slams her fists into the warp pad, activating it. "No!"
Once the warp pad was activated it took the four of them somewhere.
Spinel, where are we going?" Steven asked. "Back... to where I never left." Spinel answered.
All four of them arrived at the garden that belonged to Pink Diamond. Spinel examines the garden and gasped as she runs to the center. The others followed her. "This was our garden. A special world built just for Pink and I." Spinel began to tell her past. "On Homeworld, Pink was so lonely and sad, but not here. Here, we would play for hours. Every day was so much fun." She paused before she continued. "At least... that's what I thought."
"Did something happen, Spinel?" (Y/n) asked. "Pink wanted a colony more than anything." Spinel explains more. "One day, her wish came true! Blue and Yellow gave Pink her very own planet -- Earth! I was so excited! A brand new place to play!"
"So, why didn't you go with her?" Steven asked. "Didn't she take you with her?" (Y/n) also questioned.

I'll show you how it's done

And then she smiled

A smile in her eyes
The sound of her laughter

Happily watching her drift away

Spinel began to sing how she ended up here. How she was told to wait in the garden as a game for Pink. All she wanted was to see her smile as she watched Pink leave her in the garden.

Under the endless sky
Counting the seconds
Standing alone
As thousands of years go by
Happily wondering

Spinel was waiting for Pink for thousands of year go by. She was wondering if she was playing the game right. Soon she was having some doubt about the game she was supposedly playing.

Spinel was walking away as the others followed her. She picks up a flower and hands it Xipilli. Sadly the flowers blows away from his hand as they continued to hear what happened to her.

Spinel finally found out what happens to Pink. She doesn't exist anymore and all is left of her was her son. Spinel was heartbroken by the new. She finishes her song as she slowly reforms back to her old self. Steven, (Y/n), and Xipilli stared at Spinel as she turns to them with a pained expression on her face.
