"And that's how you work a phone!" Steven finished explaining to (Y/n) how to work her very first phone.
"Wow, Steven! This is amazing!" (Y/n) praised him, "Now we can communicate with each other if we're far."
They were walking to the Big Donut for band practice with the cool kids.
"Hi, Sadie!" Steven and (Y/n) greeted.
"Hi, Steven. Hi (Y/n)." Sadie replied tiredly. She had bags under her eyes and she looked exhausted. "What'll it be?
"Sorry to be a pain, but I got kind of a long order. I hope it's not too much trouble." Steven said.
"What trouble?" Sadie chuckled, "I'm a professional doughnut girl."
Steven began to order the doughnuts and other treats. He had some money and credit cards that he would pay with but, needed to be paid evenly.
"What all this for?" Sadie asked.
"Band practice." Steven replied.
"You're in a band?!"
"Kinda. I started jamming with Jenny, Buck and Sour Cream!"
"I can't wait to meet them!" (Y/n) clapped her hands together in excitement, "Steven's been telling me all about them and it's always exciting to meet his friends."
Steven offered Sadie to come by later and see the band practice. Sadie agreed and waited to see if she had any time to spare to come by at Sour Cream's place.

"Hey guys!" Steven greeted the band.
"Hey, Steven!" Everyone greeted him.
Sour Cream looked behind Steven and saw (Y/n) holding the doughnut box. The moment he saw her, his cheeks turned red. He couldn't stop staring at her. Her (h/l) blue hair and her beautiful (e/c) eyes. What felt like forever, Sour Cream had the courage to speak.
"H-Hey...um Steven. W-Who's your new friend?" Sour Cream stuttered.
"Everyone, this is (Y/n) Diamond. She's new around here." Steven introduced.
"It's very nice to meet you all." (Y/n) smiled.
"Diamond? Isn't that a name for someone with high ranks or something?" Sour Cream looked curiously at (Y/n). "You could say that." (Y/n) replied awkwardly.
"Dang, (Y/n). I love your hair!" Jenny complimented, "How did you do that style?"
"Oh! My mother actually did it for me." (Y/n) pulls back a strand of her hair behind her hair.
"A mother doing a daughter's hair like that...is awesome." Jenny said.
"Your hair does look beautiful." Sour Cream mumbles.
(Y/n) blushed and smiled at Sour Cream, "Thank you."
Now everyone was beginning to practice. Buck came running to them and told them they got a gig at Delmarva's number-two music ad seafood festival this weekend. Everyone started to panic that they weren't ready to start their band in a gig.
"What if we went for a more rap-a-billy style?" Sour Cream suggested.
"No, thanks" Jenny replied.
"How about something like..."Steven strummed his guitar, "Here we are our hearts combining. Music and friends, our souls aligning." Steven sang his suggestion.
"Hold on, Steven." Buck stopped Steven, "You got a really cool sentiment going on that can resonate with a wide audience." He complimented. "I just feel like this seafood festival needs to hear something challenging and provocative. Check this out." Buck began to strum his guitar, "Doo-doo. Butt. The government. Corrupts-."
"Hold on there, Bucky D." Jenny interrupts him, "I'm all for being socially conscious and waking people up inside, but people are gonna be at this seafood fest to have fun!" She explained. "Let give hem something they could dance to! Sour Cream give me a beat!"
"A What?" Sour Cream playfully asked.
"A beat!"
Sour Cream used her voice to echo in his Dj player. Jenny started to play a funky riff. The others started to like her music. (Y/n) bopped her head to the rhythm. She grabbed a tambourine she found and started to play to the beat.
"That's it, (Y/n)!" Jenny praised her. (Y/n) smiled at Jenny.
"Yeah! And then how about some..." Sour Cream startled the two girls by playing some screeching tones.
"What the heck, Sour Cream?!" Jenny yelled.
"That wasn't pleasant at all!" (Y/n) sweated.
Everyone thought it would be best to try again tomorrow and just call it a night. Sadie came by and asked if they were still practicing, but they just finished. Much to Sadie's disappointment, she wanted to hear them play. So, she just left and to let her know when they will have another band practice.
The next day, everyone followed Sadie from work and planned to play her house because of her busy schedule. Sadie invited everyone in after, she cleaned up a little. Everyone was getting their instruments ready, but Buck was getting uncomfortable in his cramped spot and sat on Sadie's bed. There was a crunch sound from under Sadie blanket and under was a lot of horror movies.
"Woah scary movies!" Sour Cream exclaimed, "Hey, Sadie, you got a dark side."
"It's more of a dork side." Sadie corrected him.
Jenny grabbed one of the movies, "Hey, is that 'The Lurch?'" She asked. "You know this one?" Sadie questioned.
"Yeah it's a classic! I can't believe you have a copy!" She exclaimed, "Guys we have to watch this." Jenny persuade everyone to watch the horror movie.
"Are horror movies good?" (Y/n) raised her eyebrows in questioned.
"Yeah, they are!" Jenny cheered, "You are going to love it, (Y/n). Trust me." (Y/n) nodded towards her and everyone sat at Sadie's bed to watch the movie.
Everyone was enjoying the movie, except for Steven and (Y/n). Steven was covering his eyes with his hands, while (Y/n) gripped on Sour Cream's arm as she trembled in fear. Sour Cream looked at (Y/n) with concern, "Hey, (Y/n), are you okay?" Sour Cream whispered. "I don't know, I've never seen a horror movie before." (Y/n) tightened her grip on Sour Cream's arm. He smiled softly at her and puts an arm around her. She looked up at him, "Don't worry, I'll make sure you're safe." His kind words made (Y/n) blush and relaxed into his comforting arm.
"I can't believe you like this one." Sadie was amazed, "Not everyone appreciates Bulgarian horror."
"Uh, guys don't we need to find our sound?" Steven hid his eyes behind his hands.
"I like this sound." Sour Cream said. "Excuse me, (Y/n)." He moved away from her as he goes to his laptop and played eerie music with dark electronic beats.
"Oh, I like that." Jenny gets up from the bed and started to playing her bass. Steven grabbed his guitar and stands next to her. "And then, we could do this." He strummed his guitar.
"Amazing, guys." (Y/n) complimented them.
"Now we just need some provocative lyrics." Buck was thinking out loud.
