"Please say you'll go." (Y/n) showed Victor a sweet smile that he had trouble saying no to but he did it all the same.

(Y/n) was at the Fenton mansion, pleading Victor to meet Harlow the next day.

Victor wasn't very keen, despite an overwhelming desire to make (Y/n) happy, he didn't like the idea of her meeting clientele outside of work. It had taken him months to come to peace with the fact that she was interacting with strangers on a personal level all day as her job and the only thing that kept him afloat was the fact that those relationships were purely professional.

"Don't you think it's inappropriate?" He asked through gritted teeth.

"Therapy is different for each person, I don't want Harlow to go back to jail because I really think I can stop it from happening." (Y/n) followed Victor as he paced his room.

"You could get fired, (Y/n)." He stopped walking and turned to (Y/n). "Is that what you want?"

"I'll only get fired if someone finds out, which they won't!" She grabbed his forearms and squeezed them lightly. "Please! I really need you to do this."

Victor had to avert his eyes to stop himself from melting on the spot. Her tone of voice, her facial expression and that look in her eyes were all things that he'd do anything for. "I'd feel bad about breaking the rules." He forced an excuse out of him. "A-and you didn't tell me before that he's a dangerous criminal with anger issues!"

"That's not all he is, he's actually pretty cool if you get to know him." (Y/n) folded her arms, frustrated that her friend was judging Harlow like the rest of society would.

"He's dangerous! Can't you see that? I think you should just pass him onto someone else, what if he tries to hurt you?!" Victor rambled.

"I'm helping him manage his anger, he hasn't even had an outburst at either of our sessions." (Y/n) did her best to convince him. "I haven't even seen him angry."

"It's probably just brewing below the surface and then all his pent up rage is going to boil over and he'll take it out on you." Victor growled out. He sighed when he saw (Y/n)'s defeated expression.

"So you're saying I shouldn't treat him at all?" She murmured.

"Maybe that would be for the best."

"I want to help him and I know I can. If you're really that worried about me then you coming to meet him will be like you assessing if it's safe for me to continue giving him therapy." (Y/n) tried to appeal to Victor's protective nature without giving in.

"...Okay, but if it's too unsafe you need to drop him, got it?" Victor answered sternly.

"No. Because you don't control me, but I'll consider your advice."

Victor rolled his eyes dramatically at her rebellion.

"Look, I really think I can crack this guy, I'll only need to treat him for two months tops." (Y/n) clasped her hands together desperately.

"Vic, just let her do her job ." Penelope, who had been silently observing their conversation the whole time, gave her two cents. "This is what she's been trained to do. If he was that dangerous he wouldn't have been let out of jail."

"Exactly!" (Y/n) exclaimed, pleased Penelope was taking her side. Just then, her phone began to ring. "That's him now, let me go take this." She exited the room and Victor's eyes landed on his sister.

"I know you like (Y/n) and you're worried about her or whatever. But just let her live, will you?" Penelope asked once she was sure (Y/n) couldn't hear.

"Like (Y/n)?! What are you talking about?" Victor laughed heartily to cover his lie. "That's hilarious, but totally not true."

"Sure, sure, either way, just give her a break." Penelope wasn't at all convinced by Victor's act. "She's never going to return your feelings if you act so... controlling."

"What? My feelings of friendship? Because she's my friend and nothing more?" Victor over exaggerated his words, trying to drill the fact that he only held platonic feelings for (Y/n) into Penelope's head. He didn't need Penelope revealing his emotions to (Y/n) before he was prepared for her to know.

Penelope scoffed. "Look, Vic, you can lie all you want but both of us know the truth."

Meanwhile, (Y/n) picked up the call after she stepped outside the room. "Hey." She greeted him with.

"Hi, so what's the plan with me meeting your friend?" Even Harlow's voice was the same as Victor's, their likeness was almost scary.

"Well, maybe we could meet at a café and you two can talk and I'll just sit on a different table while you get to know each other." She suggested.

"Oh. Are you not going to hang out with me?" Harlow sounded a bit deflated.

"I mean, I'll still be there! I just thought it would be nice for you two to have some time alone to catch up. Trust me, you'll have a lot to talk about."

"Ok... what café and when?" He still sounded a bit disappointed.

"What about the Hummingbird Café in an hour?" She checked the time on her watch and saw evening fast approaching.

Harlow then hung up without confirming or even responding in anyway to her suggestion, (Y/n) just shrugged and figured he'd show up. She walked back into the room where the Fentons were.

"Ok, Victor, we need to be at-" She was cut off.

"We're FRIENDS!" Victor said very suddenly and loudly. His head then snapped from glaring at Penelope to looking at (Y/n). "Sorry about that." He cleared his throat and recompose himself which earned a snicker from his little sister. "You were saying?"

"Hummingbird Café. In one hour." (Y/n) then headed back home, leaving Penelope and Victor to work through whatever they were squabbling over.
