Harlow was eating his breakfast slowly, wanting to savour every bite since the meal was made by (Y/n). She was scuttling around the apartment, cleaning things here and there as Harlow watched her contentedly.
"What do you want to do today?" He posed the question.
"Um... work? I need to go in, you know?" (Y/n) laughed. "Will you be okay without me?"
Harlow frowned. "Why can't you be my therapist again? You're so much better than this other guy." He moped.
"It would be inappropriate for me to be your therapist since we're friends." (Y/n) shrugged.
"Right... friends..." He said spitefully. (Y/n) sat down in front of him at the table.
"Your apartment really is a mess." She commented. "I should be off, call me if you need me."
'I always need you, angel...' He thought wistfully.
"Okay, have a good day at work." He continued to eat at his breakfast, (Y/n) was still the only thing in his mind even after her departure.
"And when did these nightmares begin?" (Y/n) asked, noting down the response as her patient recalled the answer.
"It was two weeks ago, I didn't mention it at the time because I didn't think it was a big deal. But they just kept coming back." He explained, shaking all the while.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Frank. Have you spoken to your wife about them?"
"She hears me talking in my sleep but I just brush it off when she asks. I don't want to worry her, you know?" Frank said solemnly.
"I think she'd really appreciate if you spoke to her about this when you're ready." (Y/n) glanced at the clock. "I'm afraid that's all we have time for today. I'll see you next week."
"Thank you, Dr (L/n)." He stood up and stumbled out of her office.
(Y/n) sighed, he was her fifth client of the day. One more and she was done at last. She had some time before her next appointment so she checked her phone.
She had several missed calls from both Victor and Harlow. Feeling more concern for why Harlow would have to call so much she clicked on his name first.
"Is everything okay?" She asked quickly as soon as he had picked up.
"I just wanted to hear your voice~" He cooed from the other line.
The answer took (Y/n) off guard. "That's, um, very sweet of you. How are you feeling?"
"I miss youuuu..." Harlow replied. "And I have dry mouth."
(Y/n) sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "So, you called me while I was at work because... you missed me?"
"Pretty much. Do you want to come over?" He said casually.
"I was at your house this morning!" She exclaimed. "Wait a minute- aren't you supposed to be at work?"
"I called in sick, which technically isn't a lie since I've thrown up like five times." Harlow mentioned. "Oh, also I stopped by earlier and gave something to the receptionist for you. I'll see you soon~"
Before (Y/n) could even question him about coming all the way over to the clinic, he'd hung up. She put her phone down but as she was about to go out and question Mandy, a call from reception came onto her work phone.
"Dr (L/n)?" Mandy asked formally.
(Y/n) rolled her eyes. "You know this is me, Mandy."
"Delilah Moors just cancelled her appointment, so you're done for the day. Also this cute guy turned up at reception and dropped off a box of chocolate for you. I'd totally fuck him if he wasn't sweating so much, like-"
