(Katy's POV)
All I can do is lie down and cry, unable to move or live in the real world.
Loosing your daughter is a feeling that no one should ever have to feel, for it eats you alive, only leaving the smallest parts their while everything else has been ripped away from you...
I heard a knock on the door. I didn't want to reply. They knocked again. I remained silent, never wanting to get back to reality.I heard the door opened but didn't turn my head to see who it was. I closed my eyes, hoping they would think I am asleep.
"Katy I know your not asleep..." I heard the voice of Shannon say as I felt a pair of thin arms rap around my middle, reminding me of exactly what Pearl used to do.
"Oh my little kitten.." Shannon said cuddling up close to me. She always calls me that when I'm upset knowing it would usually always make me feel better. But nothing could make me feel better.
"I'm so sorry..." Shannon said again, obviously knowing what had happened. I finally decided to open my eyes. She looked into mine sympathetically, knowing I needed her much more than anyone else knew.
"Shanny..." I stutter as my face begins to crumble and I begin to sob uncontrollably into her shoulder.
"It's okay Katy, everything is going to be okay, just let it all out!" Shannon whispered into my ear, stroking my matted hair. At this I cried even harder, wanting all my pain to wash away like the sea sweeping away sand from the beach and into the waves.
"It's okay, I know you can do it, you'll get through this!" Shan said to me trying to comfort me even more.
"Shan, I don't think I'll ever be able to feel happy or be able to get over this ever, she was my everything..." I gulp, barely being able to speak as I choke on my tears.
"She wouldn't ever wanting you to suffer like this, she saved you for a reason, for you to be happy and to live on!" Shan said as I sat up and looked into her eyes coldly.
"Then I have failed her." I say darkly as I put my head onto the pillow and close my eyes, blocking out the world around me.
