Things got awkward when junior year of high school came around. Zim was pushed around a lot more by the other students, especially seniors. Yet Dib had somehow become popular, and he had no idea what was happening to Earth's little visitor. This kind of started to rip apart an already unstable 'friendship', and oddly enough Dib didn't know how to feel about that. Of course he didn't really like Zim's overly optimistic attitude, but it felt... Dry, otherwise.
One day, Dib was late leaving Gym and heard a commotion near the lockers. He finished getting ready and went to investigate, only to find Zim was getting bullied. Something in him snapped.
