As the serious one, no one expected Tom to go randomly missing.
That didn't help in this case. Not at all.
But that's for later.
Now, Tom was doing his usual thing. It was late and he was at the bar, drinking and chatting with other people there.
That was when an interesting man appeared. Most others either went silent at the sight of him. His horned hair. His pointed teeth.
Some scared, some confused, others just passed out, Tom was the only one left not udderly wordless.
In fact, his thoughts slipped right out. "You look like a cartoon villain came to life."

Dipper was always peculiar. He'd never really been good at talking to anyone remotely cute. He got way into trying to find bigfoot. And he very obviously tried his hardest to avoid admitting he liked guys despite his mother even "accidentally"(;)) buying him a bi-pride t-shirt.
But most of all was his obvious obsession with the supernatural. Especially vampires.
In fact, when Mabel woke up to find he was missing, her first thought was that he was out vampire-hunting again.
... Eventually, however, he woke up on a pillowy soft mattress. With an unfamiliar face watching him from a corner of the room. Granted, he didn't even notice for a while because... Damn this bed was comfortable... He almost wished he could sleep for eternity...
