Andrew waited outside the door while I went to see her, she was laying in the hospital bed with wires and tubes connected to her. A steadily paced beep was heard.

I kneeled next to her bed taking her hand in mine, being careful of the IV in her hand. I placed my lips against the top of her hand.

"I'm so sorry that I freaked out last night Camila, I should have never caused that fight. I wouldn't have gotten arrested and I would have been there for you. I'm so so sorry Mila." I whispered

I don't even know if she can hear me, I really hope she can. I stood up as a doctor came in,

"She should wake up soon," The doctor told me

"When?" I asked

"It's hard to tell, it could be tomorrow or it could be a week. Once her family gets here I can explain what happened." The doctor said to me and I nodded

Andrew stepped in once the doctor was gone, he pulled a chair over for me to sit by Camila.

"Do you need anything?" He asked

I shook my head "No, you should go back to your hotel. I'll be fine."

"Call me if you need anything." He said and I nodded

I tapped my foot with my head in my hands, I felt at fault for what happened. If I saw that douche bag again I don't think I'd be able to stop myself this time.

I looked at Camila as she laid there, thinking about the past day. It could've been a lot better but it also could have been way worse. I'm grateful that she's still here.

I heard some footsteps at the door, Camila's mom walked in.

"Hi," She said with a smile "You must be Shawn. Call me Sinu" She said giving me a hug

"How is she?" Sinu asked

"They haven't told me much, the doctor said she should be awake soon." I said

"Oh okay." She said taking a seat "So what happened?"

"I don't exactly know, I-" I almost didn't want to say it but I had to. I explained everything from the guy pushed up against her to me beating him up and getting arrested.

"¡oh Dios mío!" (Oh my goodness)

The doctor came in with a clipboard in hand.

"Good morning Mrs. Cabello," He said taking a seat next to her "We ran some tests this morning to figure out why Camila collapsed this morning. And from what we saw, it seems that she was drugged with a very common date rape drug called flunitrazepam" He said

"However, the drug failed to make her unconscious until this morning. We don't believe that she was raped but we can do some tests when she's awake. If you have any questions press the red call button and one of the nurses or myself can help." He said standing up

"Okay thank you," I told Andrew "Yes reschedule that one too. Just tell it's a family emergency or something." I said hanging up

"You didn't have to do that" Sinu said

"I want to be here for her though plus those interviews aren't that dire." I said with a little laugh

The doctors hadn't said much else about Camila but I could already tell she was doing better, she had some colour back in her face and wasn't so pale.

I couldn't wait for her to wake up, today has been a good way for me to rethink things between us, I even briefly thought about our future and what it might look like. She'd probably tease me for thinking so far ahead but I'd love some of her teasing right about now...

Sinu was sitting on the couch across the room slowly falling asleep. It was close to midnight.

"I can take you home if you'd like?" I asked her "I'm staying all night don't worry." I told her and she nodded
