The next morning I woke up to an empty bed, the duvet was pushed back from whenever he got up. I picked up my phone and saw that I had a message from him.

Went to sound check at 9, you looked too peaceful to wake. I should be back around 11. Love you Mila 🤍

I sent a text back then got up and went into the washroom to brush my teeth, I had a pounding headache. After I brushed my teeth I decided on a bath. I turned on the water and after a bit I crawled into the warm water. I let my mind wander. My favourite thing to do in the bath or any water really is putting my head underwater and listening to the silence of the water.

These last few days have been a little exhausting but I wouldn't trade them for the world.

"Mila?" I heard him say

"In here" I yelled back, he lightly tapped on the door before walking in

"Oh didn't know you were taking a bath sorry" He apologised "I got us some breakfast" He said with a smile holding up a paper bag

"Thank you, I'll be out in a sec"  I told him

I pulled the plug and watched the water swirl down the drain, it's oddly calming. Before I knew it the tub was empty and I was cold, I wrapped a robe around myself and put some lotion on my legs and went out of the washroom.

"How was soundcheck?" I asked

"It went well, I think it'll be a good show. Especially since you'll be there"

"No doubt it'd be amazing without me" I said

"It's just nice to preform for my girlfriend,"

I got a heat flash all over, girlfriend it's a simple concept boyfriend girlfriend but also at the same time it's such a weird complex thing, maybe because  the media is making it seem like such a big deal. Sometimes I kind of regret making our relationship so public, I miss it just being us, I just hope that it doesn't ruin us down the road, maybe a year or three I don't know... The media can really fuck good things up and that's what I'm terrified of, losing him.
