Ruinstar wrapped her beautiful tabby tail around her sore body. Tears welled in her eyes shading her already not so good vision. She felt drained she had lost so much in the past few moons she felt there was no reason to go one. Of course she would go one as long as she had left. Her eyes looked at Orionoak who was full of sadness and despair. He too had no desire to be staring at the grave of Ruinstar's mother.

The sun began to fade into a sunset, the best one she had seen so far in her life. Through the trees she could just see it fading into darkness. Almost five days had passed since her mothers passing and the last sign from StarClan that Sunnypaw and Soaringkit were still alive. There death seemed to have been accepted now. All the members of the clan felt heavy rocks resting on the shoulders of themselves. It was more than any of them could bare. Sparrowstep cried and creid for her adopted son, and for her own son who's condition seemed bad.

A presence from behind Ruinstar startled her making her whip around to see Risenspirit standing in front of her. He nodded at her and she turned back to look at the grave that had been dug and filled with her mothers rotting corpse under the mounds of dirt. It helped bits and pieces to think of her running and happy with StarClan. Yet, she felt empty without her family here. Nightwatcher was dead, as well as Hollyheart, and now her brothers beautiful and smiling apprentice. Even Hallowpaw seemed to be taking a burden for his sisters announced death. He stared at Ruinstar like it had been her fault, and that she killed Sunnypaw with her own weapon.

Not to even mention the fact that the cats from The Stone had been treating them like dirt. Ruinstar was grateful that no cat had been injured by them yet. If StarClan was supposed to give them new life, why had they taken away so much. She had heard Gentleheart say to Orionoak that she thought StarClan had abandoned them in there time of need. They could not have abandoned them though when she felt her own mothers presence near her all the time.

He licked her paw and felt the warmth of Risenspirit's soft fur on her own. "Ruinstar." He said softly as Lastgaze finished paying his respects and padded away.

"Yes?" Ruinstar meowed still looking at her mothers grave.

"How many lives do you have left?" He asked softly.

She let his question dwell in her mind for a moment. How dare he ask her! That was private, only to be shared with cats she trusted more than life itself. Did she trust him all that much? She felt another feeling towards him. Something she could not pinpoint at all. She turned to face him. "Only two." She said in a faint whisper, barley audible.

Just then something happened that Ruinstar did not understand. The tom moved towards her and his tongue rasped her ear. She shied away and looked in the other direction. "I won't ever let something happen to you." Risenspirit said in a strict voice. "Never."

Ruinstar turned back to face him again. She hen rasped his ear. "Thank you Risenspirit." She said.

Soaringkit

~

He was so sleepy, they had traveled all that way on so little sleep. At points he did not even feel like it had been worth going on. Now they were so close. They were entering clan territory. The familiar scent of RisenClan filled his nose and lungs, it brought him back to knowing he was home. He smiled from ear to ear. Sunnypaw walked paw to paw with him. She leaned over and licked Soaringkit's cheeks.

"Almost there little friend!" She said with a large smile as well.

Cly, Torx, Bright, and Fly followed just behind them. "It smells foul!" Cly growled with a disgusted look on his face.

"You hush!" Bright said disapproving of her sons comment.

"Sorry mama!" Cly groaned.

In what seemed like a few moments they were about to enter camp, the scent of the bears would alert the cats of The Stone immediately. In fact Soaringkit could here voices uprising, and suddenly they all burst in so fast Soaringkit could not keep up. First the bears broke part of the camp.

"Only the bigger cats!" Sunnypaw howled. The bears seemed to immediately scare the cats, The Stone, and RisenClan. Soaringkit could barley see, he wanted his mother.

"Mommy!" He cried out loud.

He saw cats fighting, cats yelling, blood, He looked for the coats of any cat that seemed familiar, but none of them looked like they did before. All were oddly thin and there own coats were no longer bright. Suddenly he felt jaws grasp him from behind.  The cat had a fawn tabbied pelt. It was Robinripple, his father. Robinripple raced over to the nursery while the fight egged on. He threw Soaringkit inside and ran back out to fight. Jaws of cats seemed to drop. He did not care he started to run back out before a jaw clamped on his tail and he was pulled back.

"No, No I have to help Sunnypaw!" He hissed trying desperately to get away. There was so many cats in the den, queens, and kits. More than he remembered there being before.

He looked to see it had been Flashstorm pulling him back. She grabbed his scruff and raced towards the back of the nursery. "WHERE IS FINCHKIT!" Sparrowstep screamed.

"Sparrowstep." Flashstorm meowed gently and approached the queen. She turned to see Soaringkit struggling in her jaws. Sparrowstep fell to the ground. "StarClan's name." She cried out loud. Flashstorm dropped the kit by his mother. Sparrowstep grasped the kit. She licked and hugged him, tears slipped from her eyes. "My kit, my kit!" She yelled to the heavens. Cats gathered around him. He saw that his siblings could barley breath, it was one big family reunion. Minus Finchkit.
