Ruinstar's POV

Ruinstar rested her tabby head on her paws as she laid outside of her den. Late night patrols were out and she had double checked to make sure all apprentices were in their den. She did not let apprentices go on late night patrols since Minnowfoot's legs were broken when he fell over the edge of a cliff during a late night patrol. She wanted to make sure none of the apprentice's went because they could be quite careless. She had told her deputy Risenspirit to try to come back with some prey. Today had been a good day, they had enough prey to feed all the cats in her clan. Since the fire swept through camp having days like that did not happen often. Who knows! Maybe new leaf will bring the prey with it!

Runistar was deep in thought when she saw Risenspirt burst through camp with Orionoak just behind him. He was panting heavily and looked worried. Ruinstar rose to her paws and met him in the middle. "What is it?" She asked quickly.

"It's Nightwatcher and Blueberry." Risenspirit yelled.

"What happened?" Ruinstar was freaking out.

"They were hit by a monster on the Hard Gravel, they barley have a heartbeat."

Hard Gravel was a long gravel path that ran through RisenClan just beyond there camp. Ruinstar's heart beat faster. "Get..." She struggled to think of the names of her cats. "Uh, Spritsong, and Margaymask." She told Orionoak. He quickly ran off to the medicine cats den to fetch Spiritsong. She looked at Risenspirit. "Lead the way." The cats began to race towards Hard gravel at top speed. Ruinstar's heart raced fast. Her only brother, Nightwatcher and one of her most loyal warriors, Blueberry could be dead right now.

As they arrived she saw Blueberry and Nightwatcher on the other side of Hard Gravel. Her heart dropped and she raced across Hard Gravel right after a monster flew by. She looked at her tabby brother and seal coated friend. There breaths were light and shallow and blood crowded there body's. "Nightwacher." She said gently.

His silver eyes opened slightly. "Ruinstar." He said gently.

Ruinstar licked his head. "Your going to be okay." She said. "Just fine, Spiritsong is coming!"

Nightwatcher closed his eyes again.

Risenspirit was at Bluberry's side watching her quietly, his face was almost expressionless, but she could see the sadness in his face. At times Ruinstar was sure that Risenspirit was much stronger than herself. "Ruinstar, I am afraid she did not make it." He meowed as another monster whipped by.

Ruinstar nodded sadly as she noticed Orionoak, Spiritsong, and Margaymask. Spiritsong raced over and looked at Nightwatcher. Her eyes looked tierd and droopy. She must have been asleep. Spiritsong felt Nightwatcher's heart. She shook her head. "I'm sorry Ruinstar, there is nothing I can do. Orionoak, Margaymask, take a few steps back. Let us give are leader a little space." The three cats backed away.

Ruinstar took a step forward and touched noses with her brother. "I love you with all my heart Nightwatcher." She whispered to him. "I hope StarClan guides your path to there Clan with only the best warriors. You will hunt with them now." She whispered. She saw Nightwatchers eyes open for the last time.

"Ru-Ruinstar, with death comes new life. Keep out a close eye, they will come soon." The wise tabby tom meowed as his last words.

"Wait what does that mean?" Ruinstar asked.

But it was to late, Ruinstar watched the brightness from Nightwatcher's eyes fade. Tears slipped from her heavy eyelids and she shut the toms eyes with her paw quickly. She took a few steps back and bowed her head towards Nightwatcher and Blueberry, knowing that Orionoak, Margaymask, Spiritsong, and Risensprit would be doing the same. She then looked up to StarClan. "Easy travels my friends." She meowed. She turned around to face the others. "Lets bring them back." She said and they all helped carry The two limp cats back to camp.

June's POW

June smiled at her five kits happily. Her red tabby fur bristled as she watched them squirm around and play with glee. The largest of the five, Caesar pinned down the runt, Kipper. "Careful with your brother!" She meowed angrily. Caesar sighed and rolled off of Kipper. "I will get you next time!" He said.

June shook her head. "Kittens, come here please." She meowed and watched as the five began to make there ay towards her. "It is late and time for bed." She said. She watched all the kits faces frown. "Oh come on, you may all play tomorrow!" She meowed. She crawled into her bed followed by her kits. In the two legged house, everything was warm and peaceful. The girls, Fiera, and Immy cuddled up near her neck and the boys, Caesar, Nero, and Kipper cuddled up near her belly. She smiled and gave each kit a quick lick on the head before they drifted to sleep.

June woke up to a tugging on her scruff and a two-leg picked her up putting her in a large box with metal bars at the end. "Let me out!" She yelled furiously. "My kittens, my kits!" She said. But all that came out from her mouth was angry meowing. She watched as one of her sons, Nero heard her calls. "Mama! MAMA!" He screeched. He stumbled out of the padded bedding and tried to run after her, but his small legs would not go fast enough and like that June was out the door.

Nero's POV

Nero watched as the door behind his two leg closed leaving him and his siblings alone. He cried out for her but she could not hear him. Nero turned around and clawed his way up to the clear glass wall and scratched at it. He saw the box that they put his mother in get put inside a monster and roll off into the night. He whimpered still calling for her, but he was not heard. He jumped down and raced back to his siblings. He nudged Fiera awake. "Fiera, Fiera!" He meowed. "Please wake up!" Her eyes opened and she yawned.

"What is it Nero?"

"Mama's gone!" He meowed.

"What!" Fiera rose to her paws. "That's silly, shes right here!" She turned around and mother was not there. "She must have had to go make dirt."

Nero shook his head. "I watched her leave in a monster!"

Fiera tilted her head. "Oh no! Lets wake up the others." They began to shake awake Immy, Kipper and Caesar and explained to them what had happened. Nero shook with fear.

"We have to go find her!" He meowed.

Caesar nodded. "Lets go!"

The kits all started to head for the backyard door. Once they reached the door Nero pushed on the flap but it barley budged. "All of you help and it might open!" All the kits pushed on the flap and one by one they slipped over. They padded to the very back fence. The sky was dark and the moon was high.

"It's scary out here at night." Kipper meowed.

"We will be fine." Caesar replied.

The four kits looked at the back fence just below the wooden fence was a small hole they could all fit through. One by one they slipped under the hole. Nero was last but not least. On the other side of the fence the grass was long and wet. He walked awkwardly in the tall grass, as well as his siblings. They looked in the distance at what looked to be a large forest. "Maybe she went this way!" Nero said. The other cats nodded and they all began there journey into the forest.
