Kelsey walks into my room and jumps onto my bed. She sat next to me excitedly. I look up from my phone with an evil grin. I'm so excited. The news is dropping tomorrow, so I don't think it would be a problem to tell her now. Kelsey is my best friend, and we don't keep secrets from each other. It's a miracle I've been able to keep my mouth shut for so long.
"I got a role," I tell her. Her face softens and she looks really happy for me.
"Awh, Lake, I'm so proud of you! What is it? Why didn't you tell me?"Kelsey asks. She has now moved so that she is sitting next to me, propped against the headboard.
"The reason I couldn't tell you is because it's a really big movie. Please don't be mad. So, I'm going to be in Captain America: Civil War," I tell her with a nervous smile. Kelsey is the biggest Marvel fan out there. It's not something you would expect. She's a model, and she's just the opposite of what anyone would picture as a die hard Marvel fan.
Kelsey's face drops in shock. "What the fuck. You're joking. No fucking way. Laken! How could you not tell me? What kind of best friend are you?"
"I signed a contract saying I wouldn't tell anyone or leak information! "
Kelsey storms out of my room and into the apartments living room, where the boys are watching tv. I follow after her. She picks up the remote and turns it off. "Did you two know? Am I the only person living in this apartment that didn't know?"
Chris and Sebastian look at each other and then look at me nervously. Nobody likes it when Kelsey is mad. She's probably not even really that mad. She just loves the dramatics.
"Yes, they knew. Yes, you're the only one that didn't know. They were there when I signed my contract. And they're in the cast. The whole cast knows. You're acting like you don't know the entire cast of the film and live with two, now three of them."
Kelsey glares at me and then runs over to hug me. I knew she wasn't really mad. I'm surprised I got the role instead of her with those dramatics. I hug her back with a smile. As I hug her, I look at Chris and Seb. They're both smiling. I love them so much.
