Zey POV
I was bored walking around trying to kill time. Listening to summer walker. She became an outlet for me through her music. Gradually as time passed I got a funny feeling. I felt like someone was watching me. Immediately I called Snipes praying he would answer the phone but sadly it went to voicemail. When I looked at the day he was with Ashanti. Timing couldn't be worse.
No one was home with me and I haven't seen Max since I've been in the hospital. It's been a week. Usually I'm around someone but this time I was alone. Normally I wouldn't be worried but after what happened with Trigga and Marcus. My paranoia has been terrible. I heard my phone ring causing me to jump out of my thoughts and skin. It was too damn quiet. Answering my phone all I heard was breathing. Slow heavy breathing. It brought shivers to my spine. I instantly hung up. I began to get dress and grab my guns. I loaded my clips and put them in my holsters for them.
My phone rang again and I didn't answer I continued to prep myself. I placed my hair in a ponytail put on my gloves and got my hoodie. The ringing stopped. But then it started again. I looked at my phone and saw it was a familiar number. I wavered on whether I should answer. Sucking up my all the strength I had I answered.
"Who is this?"
"Since when don't you answer my phone calls. This shit is serious."
"Uncle Rah?"
"Yes. Uncle Rah . If I was up there I would beat yo ass."
"Damn I'm sorry. Someone called before you and they were just breathing through the phone. You know I don't play like that."
"That's why I called you Zey. You need to get out of your house. NOW !"
The way his voice boomed was enough to make me jump up. I got my duffle bags that stayed packed for these moments and right when I was going to open my door I heard footsteps. I started to think as fast as I could. I blocked off the doors with the heaviest objects in the house. Going to the back of the house I looked into my moms room to see her window. There was no one in the back. And her room had the fire escape. Knocking out the ac from the window. I grabbed my bags and my phone and climbed out. I ran up the fire escape to Max apartment. I knocked on his window 3 times. When I heard the people yelling looking for me I got tired of waiting. I was going to break in if I had to. The second I was going to kick the window in I was grabbed and pulled in.
All I felt were hands over my mouth and nose. I was kicking and fighting. But whoever had me wasn't letting go. I felt a sharp pain before I blacked out.
Omniscient POV
On the way back home Murda got an unsettling feeling. Without hesitation he had texted his right hand to make sure he had did what he asked. A few hours before hand he had asked Bandit to go to his house and pick up all the cash and product hidden and deliver it to their new location. Murda didn't trust his house being safe anymore. After his talk with Rah he realized Zey was a larger target than before so he couldn't be careless with his own personal work. Unable to shake the feeling he was getting he called Zey 3 times. But not one call was answered. Looking at his phone worried he received a text from Bandit. There were only 4 periods. He was calmed by that. But still rushed home because he now knows he has to air out the building. Zey who attempted to move in the arms she was captive in was restricted tighter. She tried to calm her breathing but it wasn't working. She began to have a slight panic attack as her anger began to rise. Eventually all that was left was anger.
Breathing heavily she broke free from the arms and had her captor by the neck. All she could see was black she didn't recognize Bandit. He was trying to protect her but due to him not making it known it was him everything took a negative turn. Bandit began to grit his teeth as he began losing that last of his breath. There was a shot that went off that brought Zeys mind back to its calm state. She quickly released Bandit and took his gun leaving the closet. Bandit fell to the floor catching his breath watching Zey walk away.
Zey still in an angry rage began to roam the house looking for targets. As soon as the first person came into sight she shot them but they were also shot by someone else at the same time. Looking to see who hit her target it was Murda. He was covered in blood and highly upset. Zey calmed down and sat with her back on the wall to regulate her breathing. Looking at Murda who she could see was still in a different state of mind. She watched him start searching everywhere for more targets but he had gotten them all. There were bodies all over the floor in all rooms. Zey got up to run after Murda to try to calm him.
Mentally Zey wasn't stable yet but her heart was running for to get to Murda. When she found Murda it was a second to late. She watched him shoot someone dead in front of her. Staring at him in awe and fright. She's seen plenty of people get killed but not with such rage. It was suffocating to be close to him because his rage was emitting off of him like a thick smoke. Controlling her breathing Zey walked closer and stepped in front of him. Attempting to block the view of the body that he just shot dead.
Murda had eyes with nothing in them but hatred. They were dark abyss that anyone could sink into scaring them to death. It was as if Zey was looking at herself n her darkest moment. It mad her hurt inside to know this is what it feels like to witness it first hand. Touching his face with a shaky hand as hot tears slowly fell down her cheeks. Murda grabbed her wrist harshly still not in his right mind looking at her with his dark eyes. Slowly recognizing Zey registering that it was her touching looking at her had softened his eyes and his heart some. It hurt him to see her tears. It wasn't mystery that Chazaeyah was sensitive but he had never saw her look like this. Her eyes were filled with so much hurt and compassion it was tearing at his heart. Relaxing his grip on her wrist she smiled at him unable to stop her tears he hugged her. Grateful she was alive and unhurt, yet more grateful that she was able to grab him from his own dark place. It was then he had realized protecting her was more than a job and loving her wasn't simple. She was his weakness and his strength.
