Mom... I like girls

Glimmer's POV
One more week until homecoming. Me and Adora are wearing red. I have a really nice looking red dress but my mom thinks I'm going with a friend. I really wanna tell her. I think I'm gonna do it today. I'm ready. Anyway Adora is going in a red button up some khakis and a black bow tie. She doesn't look nerdy though. She looks really really good in it. Chloe seems to be flirting extra hard with Adora today and it's so annoying. "Hey Chloe can I talk to you for a second?" I ask is a polite manner. "Sure." She says rolling her eyes. We walk away from the group a little. "Look her I don't know why you trying to break me and Adora up you have a problem." I state. "It's simple I'm hot your not Adora needs someone hot to be with. Not you." She states aggressively. "Listen here bitch I don't know who you think you are but when people are in relationships you don't try to get in with one of them. Or are you really that dumb. Huh?" I sneer. "Ok listen to me I took you ex and I'll take this one too. Just come to the fact I'm better than you." Im in shock. It can't be. I pull out my phone and go on Instagram and sure enough it's her. "Get the fuck away from me you little bitch." I say walking away.  All I can hear behind me is her laughing.
     I go though the rest of the school day feeling haunted by Chloe.
At home
     I walk in the door and I go up to my room and put my stuff down. I changed into some shorts a shirt and Adora's hoodie.  I then walk down stairs to see my mom on the couch. I go lay down next to her and put my head on her lap like I used to when I was a kid. "I love you Glimmer. Your the best daughter I could ask for." She says. "Thanks mom I love you too. I need to tell you something and I ask that you be open and if your not okay with it I'm sorry but this is me." I say. "What is it?" She asks. "Mom... I like girls." I go silent after. "Oh baby I've always known but I wanted you to feel comfortable to tell me I love you. I noticed the nights you don't come home. So who's the girl?" She asks lovingly. I pull out my phone a show her. "That's Adora mom she's my girlfriend and we're going to homecoming together." "Is she a good person?" My mom questions. "Yeah she really is." I reply. "I'm glad you told me Glimmer and nothing could ever make me love you less." She whispers. After that we ordered take out and watched movies for the rest of the night. My mom is the best.
