The Party

Adora's POV

I hop out of my truck and walk to the shed in the back. I keep one of my four-wheelers here. Everyone is already on their ATVs. I walk in turn on the lights and pull it out of the shed. Glimmer and Perfuma walk towards the back, Now that I think about it our whole friend group keeps at least one ATV here. I pull up to my group. "Hey, guys we have one problem," Perfuma says. "And what might that be?" Bow asks. "Glimmer doesn't have a four-wheeler or any type of ATV she's going to have to ride with someone," she states. "She can ride with me if she wants to." I volunteer. "I'm okay with that," she says. I smile. "Ok problem solved," Bow says getting on his four-wheeler. "Come on I promise I won't do anything too stupid," I say softly. She giggles. I swear she has the cutest laugh in the world. I extend my hand and pull her up. "Now you can just wrap your arms around my waist like this. Hold on as tight as you feel the need to." I say. She pulls herself a little closer to me. I don't know why but it just feels right. I pull up next to Bow. Someone has a speaker blasting music this is going to be perfect. Bow takes off signaling its time to start. I take off right towards him pretty soon everyone is following. I love the feeling that comes with mud riding. We hit the first turn and mud goes everywhere. Glimmer squeals behind me. "You okay princess?" I laugh.

We get back to Bow's and the drinks are almost immediately brought out. I grab a beer out of the ice chest. I don't drink much at parties and even so, I could always crash here at Bow's. So a guy walks up behind me and congratulates me on the game tonight. I say thanks and walk away. I walk to a group of people I know. Half of them have out there JUULs. Someone offers me a hit off of theirs. I except because I'm always down to try new things. It's not that bad actually.

2 hours later

I've only had 4 beers. I think I'm gonna head home though I'm kind of tired. I walk towards Bow and the group and say bye. Their all completely shit faced. I laugh until I see Glimmer. "Oh no she's new what is she supposed to do. Nobody knows anything about where she lives or her parents." I think to myself. I walk over immediately and pull Glimmer aside. "Hey do you want to sleep at my place tonight?" I ask knowing I'm not leaving her alone I will stay here if I have to. I don't want her waking up to people she doesn't know tomorrow morning. "Sure" she slurs. "Ok let's go it's getting late." I say. "Ok" she answers. We walk to my truck and I help her in to the passenger seat.
5 minutes later
We pull into the driveway. I help Glimmer our of the truck and into the house. I escort her to my room, close the door, and help her onto the bed. I tuck her in. I soon realize her family will freak out if they don't know her whereabouts. I search her for her phone. Lucky for me her mom already called so I click the notification and the phone starts to ring. Her mom picks up. "GLIMMER WHERE ARE YOU I WAS SO WORRIED!" Her mom yells through the phone. "Um Hello this is Glimmer's friend Adora she's sleeping at my house tonight but she fell asleep before she could even call you." I lie. "Oh ok well in that case thank you for letting me know Adora."she replies and hangs up the phone. I jump into the shower.
10 minutes later
I hop out with a towel wrapped around my body. I grab my bra, underwear, shorts, and a t-shirt I usually just sleep without a shirt but Glimmer is going to be in the bed next to me so, I slip on all of my clothes and get in the bed. I'm out just as my head hits the pillow.
