DesiI didn't get a chance to talk to Dean before the ceremony began and Roman texted to let me know they would be there before I got on stage, so I knew I wouldn't get a chance to talk to him alone for awhile.
Getting ready this morning, I couldn't stop think about last night as I was doing my hair. Then I saw the angry mark on the side of my neck. He marked me! What the hell did he think he was doing. How the hell am I supposed to get rid of this.
After an extra 30 minutes that I didn't have trying to cover up the mark, I rush to get to the ceremony. I look around in the crowd to see if I can find Roman, Seth, and Dean. Scanning the faces I finally come across a familiar smile. Seth. And beside him is Roman. But no Dean
I let out a disappointing sigh then give a small smile and wave to the both of them.
I keep looking back throughout the graduation. I tell myself it is to make sure Roman and Seth are really there. But, I know it is to see if Dean has finally shown up.
By the time they call my name he still hasn't shown. I walk on stage and look towards the 2 men who are cheering and clapping loudly for me and I see him. Smirking, he blows me a kiss with the same fingers that were inside me last night.
I could feel myself blushing. I get my paper and shake the hands and rush off stage as fast as possible. And ask myself how I am going to manage to get through the rest of the day with all three of them.
"This place is pretty fancy Roman." I acknowledge while looking around the restaurant that he picked. White table clothes on all the tables without a grease stain in sight. Much nicer than the places I would normally eat at. Women decked out in diamonds and pearls. Not a hair out if place. Men in full suits and ties.
"I figured you're graduating college. That deserves a nice dinner at a great restaurant." He says with pride. He seems happy to be doing this and I don't want to seem unappreciative of it. So no matter how uncomfortable I am, I suck it up and smile back.
"Thanks Roman, it's really sweet." I reply happily.
As I look over the menu, I realize I actually have no idea what most of this is and pretty sure, I don't want to. The waitress comes to us and acts as if I'm not even there while asking the guys what they want. Dean is looking at the menu like I did. He doesn't like this kind of stuff either apparently.
I get the waitresses attention finally "Do you guys have Double Bacon Cheesebugers or milkshakes? Oh, or tacos. I would die for some good tacos right now." I ask, which apparently is appalling to this woman who just looks,at me like I have grown antennas out of my head.
"We don't serve fast food here. We only serve culinary masterpieces." She snips back at me.
"Well, do you have any 'Culinary Materpiece' Double Bacon Cheeseburgers or Tacos?" I ask with much more attitude than was necessary. I can see the guys trying to hide their smiles. Well all but Dean who just bursts out laughing. Finally Roman asks the waitress to give us a few moments to figure out what we want. To which she bats here eyes and leaves.
"Dez, if you'd like we can always go somewhere else." Roman says softly.
"Hell yeah, lets get out of this place before they shove sticks up our asses too." Dean blurts out loudly, clapping his hands together.
I roll my eyes and shake my head. "Dean sit down, were not going anywhere. Roman this place is fine and the gesture is really nice. I'm just not use to this kinda place is all." I gently reassure my brother, as Dean groans and mumbles something under his breath and we look at the menu again. I decide to go with the Prosciutto wrapped chicken breast with veggies. Which looked a little more like under cooked bacon laying on top of a piece of chicken.
