Chapter 2 : Someone Like Me?

        The next day, you woke up to your pet snake, Viper who has been hissing at you. "Wake up [Y/N]...." She hissed. Animals in your realm aren't like normal animals like on earth. In Vanaheim, animals could think and talk also feel one's feelings. "The king wishes to speak with you...better get dressed and go to the throne room now. "She continued. You rubbed your eyes and yawned. "I'm up, I'm up!" You mumbled making Viper shake her head at you. You had lots of pets, even wild ones. You got up from your comfy bed and walked to the bathroom. When you came in, you saw that the maids had prepared you a warm bubble bath.
"But they didn't bother to wake me up.."
You sighed as you slipped yourself into the tub. There were bookselves on the wall beside the tub specially designed for you as your parents knew your love for reading. You grabbed your favorite book and started reading . Minutes pass and before you could go to the next chapter the door bursts open. You frowned and sighed as you saw your panther friend panting as if anything bad happened to you .

         "Bagheera... for your information I.AM.RELAXING.WHILE. READING. MY. FAVORITE.BOOK. and I am perfectly fine!" You shouted sternly. Bagheera was your black panther friend. You named him a panther after your father told you about a story that happened in Midgard. He has always been protective of you and overprotective most of the time. "See, Bagheera I told you..." Viper spoke outside. You couldn't help but to shale your head. "W-well... yes. I apologize for jumping to conclusions my lady, but I overheard your father saying that you were taking too long. I don't know why but I immediately thought you got kidnapped. I thought that's why you were late. Please forgive me." He apologized looking away. You smiled at his words.

            Oh how you fortunate were you to have him as a companion and friend. "Thank you Bagheera... I am going to get ready now. " You said getting up and grabbing your robe. "Wait...what?" He looked at you as you walked pass him confused. "Why did you thanked me? I disturbed your reading?" He questioned again as he watch you put on your dress. "Yes, I do admit you were being rather annoying but I thank you for reminding me about the time." You replied as you brushed your hair. You turned around to face him and kneeled. "Next time please knock. It is improper for a man to barge in when a lady baths." You smiled and patted his head. Viper nodded." Listen to a lady~" She hissed. Bagheera followed you to the throne room and as the door opened for you, you saw your sister and both of your parents waiting.

           "Am I late?" You asked as you walk to stand beside your sister in the middle of the room. "No.. you are fine [Y/N]." Your father replied. You saw Bagheera went to eat his meal at the corner of your eye. You set your gaze forward again as your father began to speak. " We will be attending an important ceremony that will be held in Asgard later so I want you ladies to dress your best." You shared a glance with your sister. "I suppose it is King Odin's eldest son's coronation?" You asked making your sister cocked her eyebrows. "Yes, [Y/N].. It is. King Odin has been my greatest friend therefore we should attend this special celebration. His eldest son Thor will replace him as a ruler and we need to give him our respect as well." He spoke again.

            Astrid became very curious and asked. "Thor? Isn't he the boy with blonde hair that played with us when we were little?" You frowned as you didn't really knew when you met him. "Have he?" You asked in a low tone. She gasped at you.
"[Y/N]!!! He was our childhood friend how could you forgotten?????" Still with her saying that you couldn't connect all the dots. "When was that again?" You asked. "We were eight playing at our garden???" She she explained hoping you would remember. "Oh.. I was gathering samples that time so I didn't played with the both of you plus I remembered founding a bunch if beautiful snakes. Some rocks as well.." You said as you clicked your tongue. Astrid smacked her forehead after hearing what you said." I could've known you better sister..." She sighed.
You could only smirk at her comment.
"Alright my daughters, I think it is time to get ready. We will be departing in an hour. You may go. " Your father suddenly spoke shaking his head while chuckling.
