It took two years, countless bins of Ben and jerry’s, and millions of tears but I somehow put my heart back together. It was a lot of hard work and I still have a few pieces missing but at least it works again. It seems like everyone has moved on. After one semester at UBC I moved out east to get a law degree, Grace moved in with Niall and went on tour with them, as she couldn’t survive being miles away from him. Eleanor and Danielle are both still with their boyfriends and making it work balancing their jobs too. I still think of everyone a lot and I think of that whole summer as one replaying memory. I never see them anymore and I rarely talk to the girls but sometimes they call it’s just awkward and not as easy as it used to be as they try to stay away from any Harry related topics like his girlfriend of two years and 11 months Elle Lincoln. It is hard knowing that not even a month after we split up Harry got himself a beautiful girlfriend as if I meant nothing to him. Sometimes I wonder if everything was a lie or some dream. Did he lie to me when he said ‘I love you’? Did he dream of a future with me? But I can’t get myself stuck on those thoughts I’ve worked to hard o get out of that hole.

“Lauren wait up!” Max called from behind me. I stopped and turned watching my wonderful best friend run to catch up to me. “You can’t just text me and tell me that I’m your  fake boyfriend with out a reason!” He exclaimed. I laughed lightly.

“I’m sorry it’s just that Joel asked me out again and I said no again and he asked why so I told him a I had a boyfriend so I wasn’t too rude.” I explained. “He asked who my boyfriend was and I panicked and I told him you.”

Max sighed. “Lauren, Lauren, Lauren quite a pickle you got in.”  I smiled up at him as if this would help him agree.

“Come on Max. You know I’d do the same for you.”

“Fine.” He groaned. I smiled pleased with his answer. We walked down the pavement towards the main food court. I saw Joel before he saw me luckily.

“Quick it’s Joel but your arm around me or something! Make us act coupley!” I panicked. Max laughed but slid his arm around my waist like Harry used to do and pulled me in tight. It wasn’t awkward or anything Max and I were just that close of friends. Joel stopped in his tracks and walked the opposite direction of us thankfully. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a fancy Lamborghini pull into the area. Max and I both turned to see this black beauty of a car. Out stepped one beautiful blond girl followed by another. The second I easily recognized it was Elle Lincoln. She was even more beautiful in person. Tall, long sleek blond hair, skinny and just over all perfect. She hugged the other girl I assume was her sister just as Harry walked over from the driver’s side. It was so weird seeing him again. It was like something out of a movie, like it wasn’t actually happening to me.

“Oh my god.” I whispered.

“What?” Max asked as he stopped to look at what I was looking at. “It’s him.” He told me as if I didn’t already know. I have him a look and he grinned. “What are you doing to do?” He asked this.

“This.” I told him before pulling him down to me by the collar of his shirt to kiss him.

”Aw hell.” Max muttered after I stopped kissing him. “This right here probably is going to cost us a lot of shit.” Max was probably right but I don’t know I just don’t think well under pressure! “He’s looking!” Max whisper yelled before crashing his lips back on mine.

            “Max!” I laughed after.

“Oh what you can do it to me but I can’t to you?” He exclaimed. “I’m doing you a favour! Do you not remember me helping you glue each tiny piece of your heart back together after he shattered it? This is why you should let us happen; we are great together.” He smiled with his normal lazy smile.
