Chapter 7

I quickly looked at my reflection. My soft long hair was pulled into a messy bun that was placed under a god awful hair net. Over that was that tacky hat. Then I had to wear a plain white shirt with the pizza place uniform on top of that. I groaned loudly before walking out into the hall.

“Well look at you. Don’t you look nice?” I took a deep breath and continued down the stairs.

“Not now William.” I told him before racing to catch the bus. (My car had no gas and I didn’t have time to get it filled this was just easier)I just had three days till I turned eighteen then my punishment was over and I was legally free! No punishments I could move if I wanted to ect. The list goes on! I can’t wait for my birthday.

I wiped the counter yet another time. Half an hour until my shirt ended that’s it. I told myself again. I had been telling myself that the whole day. ‘Only four hours until your shift ends’ or ‘only two and a half hours.’ I had been extremely board all day. Grace hadn’t even showed up I had taken over her shift apparently.

“Excuse me miss? I’d like to place an order.” I looked up and saw Niall and Harry. A grin grew across my face. I hoped over the counter and hugged the boys.

“I am so happy to see you two here!” I exclaimed happily. Niall laughed and Harry smiled lifting my spirits. I climbed back over the counter and pulled a pizza out of the oven and into a box. Harry and Niall leant across the counter.

“So this is your punishment?” Harry asked clearly amused.

“Haha not funny.” I rolled my eyes. “Yes it is. Would you like to work here for hours on end?” I suggested. Just then a man walked through the doors and up to me.

“I’m here to pick up my pizza.” I nodded at the man.

“Name please?”

“Taylor.” I nodded taking out the pizza that I had just slipped into the box and slid it towards him.

“$11.50 please.” He gave me the money and walked back out.

“Sorry ‘bout that.” I told them sitting on the counter.

“We came to talk to you about tonight. We were wondering if you wanted come around to mine and Louis’ flat. His girlfriend Eleanor is coming so is Danielle Liam’s girlfriend.” I nodded.

“Sure what time should I be round?” I asked drawing little people on a notepad.

“Eight?” Harry offered.

“Sure I’ll come by. Should I bring anything?” I asked looking up from the pad. Harry shook his head.

“Grace.” Niall quickly told me. I laughed but nodded.

“Sure I’ll ask her.”

“When do you get off?” Niall asked me. I looked over at the clock yet another time.

“Twenty minutes that’s when my replacement should be here.” I told them.

“Do you want to hang out?” Harry asked me.

“Uh sure do you guys just wanna hang around? Or what because I don’t have my car.” I asked. Niall looked at Harry.

“I’ll come back to pick you up I have to drop Niall off his cousin is meeting up with him.” Harry explained. Niall waved good-bye to me. “

“See you tonight!” Niall called and Harry just waved as they left.

“I’ll be back soon.” Harry told me. I nodded and the pair of them left.

I sighed and walked in the back room. Just as I did Grace came in through the back door.

“I thought you were going to be here!” I whined she laughed.

“Sorry cuz I’ll be here tomorrow with you.” She told me stacking a box on top of another.

“Do you want to go over to Harry and Louis’ flat again tonight? We have been officially invited.” I told her smiling.

“Sure what time?”

“Come to mine at seven we’ll eat get ready and go.” I told her before helping lift another milk crate into the large fridge.

 I sat on the bench outside waiting for Harry. He quickly pulled up and ran out of his car. “I’m so sorry I’m late I got stuck in traffic.” He mumbled opening my door for me like a true gentleman in movies. He was only seven minutes late!

“Oh it’s quite alright.” I told him as he started the car.

“Last night was fun.” He said laughing.

“Oh yeah sure if that’s what you call enjoyable.” I laughed bitterly.

Harry only smiled and continued to drive. “So is that your whole family?” He asked.

“Yeah I guess so my mom, dad and William.” He nodded so I continued. “then I have the rest of my family though. I have my uncle and Aunt whom have Grace. Then I have my mom’s sister Carry who has three kids but they live back home in Canada.” I told him. I guess he didn’t really need to know that but whatever I already said it.

“Not a very big family then?” He asked and I shook my head.

“Nope.” I told him popping the p.

“What-what happened with Charlie? Like what are you going to do” Harry asked slowly. “You don’t have to tell me. I was just wondering.” He said that last part really quickly and all the words kind of joined.

“I’ll tell you if you tell me ‘bout your girlfriend or whatever.” I told him.

“Okay it’s a deal.” He already knew all of it so I just had to tell him my game plan.

“I’m just going to ignore him like the plague. If I see him I won’t be nice.” I told him honestly.

Harry smiled. “So you’re done with him?” I nodded.

“Oh yeah I’m moving on from that awful chapter.” I sighed. I could have sworn I saw him grin.

“You do what you have to do.” He paused. “So I’m sure you want to know about Emma?” I nodded eager to hear about this girl.

“I dated her for a while. She was nice or whatever at the time but she just became… I don’t know. She’s just bad news.” He told me it was clear that he had something against her and the break up was bad but that’s what his eyes were telling me not his words. “But she’s a thing of the past and I like to keep it that way. We aren’t anything anymore and it’s been that way for a while. I’m not interested anymore.” He sighed. “I’m glad we’re done.” I nodded and stared out the window as he pulled into the drive. Before I even had the chance he ran around my side of the car and opened the door for me offering his hand.

“Thank you.” I smiled taking his large hand in my own. He helped me out and we climbed the stairs to his floor. We waved to the guards and went into his apartment.

“Louis is somewhere with Eleanor so he won’t be around.” Harry told me.

“Uh so you have anything else I can wear?” I asked awkwardly pulling at the hat still on my head. He laughed and nodded walking into his room.
