The next morning she heard a frantic pounding at her door, knowing it could only be Jeremy as her father and Severus always simply appeared she yelled for him to enter and wait a tick while she got dressed. She found him pacing in front of her fire place with a look of outrage on his face. Worried she asked "Jeremy what's going on, your here awful early." He explained what had happened the night before. Vicky had been turned, then they had staked her in front of him, then to top it off her sister had Damon fucking Salvatore try to mess with his mind, forget what happened, stop doing drugs, don't remember Casta, work harder at school, be nicer to his sister and listen to her. He had played along not knowing what would happen if he didn't and hightailed it out of there as soon as he could. Casta sat down stunned at the gal of the current doppelganger murmuring a quiet wow. Jeremy huffed looked at her and plopped down beside her with tears in his eyes, "you warned me about her, and I knew as I've watched her for years manipulating to get what she wants but I never thought she'd go so far as that, I can't trust her at all!" Casta wrapped her small arms around him in a hug as he laid his head in her lap tears streaming down his face, she snapped her fingers and a plate of fresh cookies, and a pile of weed appeared on the table. "I know this won't fix everything or hell anything but we'll figure this out, I'll keep you safe I promise you always have a sister in me and I won't mess with your mind...unless you ask nicely. I'm sorry about your friend Vicky jer bear I know how much she meant to you." Jeremy cuddled in closer and sparked up a joint thinking to himself that this was all he needed a hug and someone who would have his back. Suddenly a deep voice drawled behind them "you know, she means every word of it, she'll protect you, she did me when I was your age and younger" then a dark robed figure plopped down in the chair across from them. Jeremy was initially startled but didn't move as he felt Casta stay calm and he trusted her and remembered her explaining that only 3 'people' as it were could enter her Haven. "Ah Severus, back so soon " Severus just shrugged and grabbed a joint for himself. Jeremy looked over and was surprised to see an older man robed in black who had a severe face and black fathomless eyes. He had seen this man in the pictures lining Casta's walls so he introduced himself, Severus doing the same. As they all relaxed and ate cookies, Jeremy vented as the two supernatural in the room listened with a sympathetic ear.

Later that day as Jeremy was leaving he looked to Casta, "tomorrow you want to fuck with my sister and the Salvatores?" Casta grinned a wicked smile, "I thought you'd never ask!" Laughing Jeremy told her he'd call her tomorrow.

As Jeremy left Severus looked to his oldest friend, the only person who had never let him down, never let him fall no matter what he did. " So sweet Casta when will you tell him the full truth of what you are" she looked at him sighed and gave a shrug. He laughed lightly grabbed a beer for them both, a couple joints and pulled her outside to the Willow tree. They sat in comfortable silence before Casta asked "do you ever miss it?" He looked at her with disbelief "what's there to miss, two megalomaniac master's, dunderheaded children trying to blow themselves up, or the constant sneers in my direction due to my stunning personality and beautiful visage?" Casta sighed, "I love your caustic personality sevvi poo and your face is reminiscent of the ancient Romans, strong and proud, nothing to be ashamed of there." He glared at her lightly with little heat before chuckling "I still hate it when you call me that, but to answer truthfully, no I do not miss it. I have you, I have Lord death, and he tells me I also have a mate whom I will meet in the coming years" Casta couldn't help the snort of laughter that escaped looking fondly at her oldest friend and quasi son. They continued on with their comfortable silence occasionally passing a joint between them until night fell and Severus went back to wherever her Lord father was to check in.

It had been a few months since the Halloween compulsion debacle. The doppelganger and her little band of miscreants had yet to realize that Jeremy had not been compelled as they had decided to wait and see what else she would try to do to Jeremy. Turns out quite a lot. She had Damon use compulsion on him half a dozen times. Jeremy couldn't even stand to be in the same space as Elena and spent most of his time at Castas Haven hanging out with her and Severus when he graced them with his presence. One would think as an elder sister she would know or worry about where Jeremy spent all his time but Elena didn't seem to notice so caught up in her own life. Casta on the other hand had taken on the role of big sister and best friend and always knew what Jeremy was up to as she cared to ask what he was doing with his time when not around her. Late one evening she decided to go out in her basilisk form as it had been a long time, she felt like a good slither.

Many years ago, well ok centuries ago, her Lord father had helped her create a special pair of retractable lenses embedded into her eyes for when she was in basilisk form  so she could enjoy it without the fear of petrifying everything in her path even though at times she did enjoy doing so. As she slithered through the forest she ate a couple deer as she went and continued on her merry way. Returning home her elves gave her their daily report on what was happening in town, oh how she loved the little buggers, she nicknamed them her ninja spy's and hugged them close. Tonight though was a concerning report, Damon Salvatore was being a nuisance to say the least and Bonnie Bennett and gotten herself right in the middle of it.

Casta decided it was time to visit Sheila and have a word. She had not spoken to the woman since the 80s as she found her kind if not rather boring in comparison to Emily. With that in mind she shadow walked to the Bennett residence and knocked on the door, Sheila answered, surprised to see Casta but inviting her in nonetheless. Casta told her she knew of the happenings in town, warned her of her granddaughters role in it, and also warned her not to do what she had planned, it would lead to her death. Sheila listened intently and thanked Casta for her time. As Casta was leaving, she looked Sheila in the eye "I've fairly warned you Sheila Bennett, the path you are taking will lead to an earlier grave for you and remarkable danger for this town." Sheila simply nodded her head thinking her plan was sound.
