Logan's pov.

i turn to alexa. she have been standing behind me for the past minute. is there something she wants to tell me?

"what is it, alexa?" i ask her.
"j-jenny." she hesitates.
"what's with jenny? did she annoy you again? i can move her to styling department if you want."
"n-not that.. she just said something about team maverick this morning." she looks down.

i pull her closer to me and gesture her to sit on my lap. unguided, she hugs me and bury her head in my neck.

"what did she said?"
"she said that maverick enterprise will fall down. i think she's planning something bad."
"alexa, maybe she just messing with you as she know you love your work and team maverick." I patted her shoulder. "im pretty sure she's not bad."
"if she wants to mess with me, why would she mentions about you?" she shrugs. "jenny literally said that no one will ever support you and you will fall back in the same place as you are when japan-" i put my finger on her lips.

"there's nothing to worry about, alexa. i'll make sure my empire is doing well, okay? just do your work." i caress her cheeks. "by the way, since jenny comes in the team, production percentage is increasing 10% which is good for maverick enterprise."
"why wouldn't you listen to me?" she shot up with furrowed eyebrows. "im trying to warn you so you can see who's the rat in this team."
"i am listening to you. but baby, jenny doesn't seem that bad as you expected. come on. if i can accept her, why wouldn't you?" i played with her hair.
"because i feel something bad about her! and you clearly are fooled by her beauty!"

"why are you acting like this?" i try to be nice to her. her words already getting on my nerves. "what's wrong having someone else around you? im trying to make your job easier by putting her in the same department as you."
"clearly, its not helping me!" she raised her voice.
"can you please not raise your voice in front of me?" i hold back my anger. if it wasn't because she's my loved one, i would kill her already.

i like jenny in the team. what's wrong with it? why would she be mad jealous about this? it's not like im cheating on her.

"why? because you love jenny more than me?! you're not even pay attention to me anymore!"
"alexa rivera!" i push her away from me. "what the fuck wrong with you?! what makes you hate jenny so much?! it's not like she's destroying you life!" i shouted.
"see? this is what happens. you dont even care about me." she storms out of my room.

i chase her to downstairs. i fucked up. how the fuck could i mess this. how could i hurt her feelings this much?

"alexa!" i shouted again before she gets into her car. "alexa, babe. please dont be like this!" i tried to open the door but she already lock it.

i knock on the window hoping she would notice me. i completely looking like a crazy man.

alexa started her car's engine and drive away without looking back.

i've broke her heart.

"this is the voicemail-" i hung up for the 12th time. alexa is not answering my calls since last night. she's not even coming to work today.

what have i done? why am i changing? what is happening? is there anything i missed from the first day we date?

"hey, logey." jenny draw herself closer to me.
"what do you want jennifer? you have no rights to call me 'logey'. youre no one to me." i glared to her. "have you done your work?"
"what's with the bad mood? did something happened?" she snakes her hands on my shoulder.
"its none of your business."

"you know what? let's hang out. maybe it could make you feel better. forget about her." she whispers.
"no."
"come on, logey. you deserve happiness. let's go."

i thought back for a while. maybe jenny's right. im stressed. i need rest. well, just one wouldn't hurt, right?

"fine. but we are going as workmates. this is not a date." i tell her this because i want her to know im still keeping this professional.
"okay. let's go."

as both of us walk out from the house, we bump into mike and spencer. both of them give me a weird look.

"hey. where are you guys going?" spencer speaks.
"hang out." jenny replies and drags me to the yeti. i looked to mike as he give me a weird look. wanting to reply, but i am dragged away.
