Alexandra's pov.

last one and- done. i let out a heavy sigh as clicking send. the preview is done. hope logan will accept it since it's for the maverick anniversary.

"text message from 'mav mike'." my google home unit's computed voice could be heard.
"read the message." i speak as a response.
"reading text message from 'mav mike'. 'alexa, logan's going out with jenny. where are you' question mark." i freeze as i hear the news. what the fuck. "reply?" google home added.
"no." i simply reply. "call 'sweetie logey' now." i command.

"calling 'sweetie logey'." google home silenced and beeping sounds started.

beep beep.

beep beep.

"call declined." google home stated. "redial?"
"yes."

beep beep.

beep beep.

"call declined." once again, google home stated. "redial?"
"no." i let out a heavy sigh once again.

logan doesn't love me anymore. i've been wasting a piece of my life for him. maybe, im the only one who is so hopeful about this.

maybe i should drive back there tonight.

Logan's pov.

i played with my food while jenny munching on hers across the table. is this a right choice? what if mike actually tell alexa about this? he had his suspicion on me after he saw me with jenny. im just trying to relax, no more than that.

"why dont you eat your food, logey?" jenny looks up to me.
"stop calling me 'logey', you're just my worker." i glare her.
"well, fine. so, i guess you're still love that hoe who doesn't love you like i did?"
"she's not a hoe. alexandra is one of the nicest person i've ever met and she-"

"she loves you? clearly not." she put down her fork. "think carefully, logan. if she loves you, she would be by your side right now. she would come to work today. she would be the one helping you to relax. but where is she right now? where is she if she really loves you, logan?"

jenny might be right. where's alexa when i need her? she knew that i want the designs today. plus, she's been ignoring me. but it was my fault. i made her do this.. i-

"leave her already, logan. she doesn't treat you like you deserved."
"why are you being rude? talking about my girlfriend like that?" i lift an eyebrow.
"im just telling the truth. just wait and see, she will treat you like shit, disrespect you, and dump you like she did to her exes." jenny lifts her both shoulders. "im warning you logan. dating her may be a mistake."

i stand up from my seat and leave the restaurant. who should i be listening to? jenny? alexa? im so confused right now.

jenny drive us home. i fell into a drain and hurt my shoulder earlier. that is why i ask her to drive the yeti since i cant. even though i hate it so fucking much when other people handling my car.

"we're here." jenny pull the handbrake and turn off the engine. "wanna me to help you?"
"nah. im fine." carefully, i open the door and get out from the car.

both of us walk into my house finding broley few feet away from the door, looking to us. aww, my dog's waiting for me. i draw myself closer to him.

"hey, broley! whatchu doin here?" i kneel down and pat his head. "who's a good boy? who is it? hm?"
"he's been waiting for you." mike comes out from the kitchen. "how's the 'hangout'?"
"uhh. kinda great. i fell into a drain. nothing much." i look over to my shoulder. "is there any news on alexa?"

"of course there's none. she does not love you logan." jenny interferes.
"can you please shut your filthy mouth, miss?" mike looks to her.
"well, im just telling the truth, you potato head." she crosses her arms.
"guys, stop. im tired. i dont need to hear any of your bickerings." i let out a sigh. "it's late. maybe you should go home, jenny. thank you for helping me." i smiled to her.

"okay. bye." she walk to the front door without her bag. "see you guys later!" her voice come from the front door.

i was about to go upstairs, and i see her bag on the counter behind me.

"jenny, wait!" i take the bag and run to the front door. her car is just about to leave the front gate. "your bag!" i shouted. i think she hears me because she stepped out from her car.
"what was that?" jenny looks at me.
