I slowly opened my eyes to see Brennen standing over me.
Brennen: are you okay?
I sat up and placed my hand against the back of my head as a piercing pain shot through it.
Colby: yeah, I'm fine. What happened?
Brennen took a step back so he want in my face.
Brennen: you passed out
Colby: gee, I wonder why
Brennen chuckled at my sarcasm and I smiled.
Brennen: yep. You're feeling better
We both laughed. It fell silent for a few seconds as we stared into each other's eyes.
Brennen: Colby?
Colby: yeah?
Brennen: there's something else I have to tell you
Colby: oh no
Brennen smiled at my worry.
Colby: I swear to god, if you're about to tell me you turn into a bat and sleep upside down, I -
Brennen: calm down
He said as he laughed.
Brennen: I'm not going to say anything like that
Colby: what is it?
Brennen: well, the reason why I told you what I am is because I found out something.
Colby: what?
Brennen: Colby...
