Brett stands quiet in front of the black wood door.
What I'm I doing here?, he whispers to himself. I don't even know this guy. What if he wants to kidnap me? Or rob me? Well....no, that last one it's impossible.

This house is huge and elegant. White walls, and two cars on the front door. Nope. Impossible. Not for the poor guy with the scholarship.

Then, why? Why this guy is so committed on being close to me? Why me? Maybe I should leave-

The door opens suddenly, interrupting Brett's inner battle. Eddy's smiling face appears in front of him.
His hair is a disaster, and he's wearing black sweatpants and a white plain t-shirt. Shit. Brett came too formal maybe.
He's wearing a blue cotton shirt and black pants.

“Brett! I saw you coming from the window, but as it took you so long to ring, I decided to come to see what happened”. He doubts for a second. A blush brightens his cheeks. “Not like I was waiting for you, you know. But I was, I mean. You are my guest and...”. He sighs.
Brett is just standing there not saying anything. Thinking he should have change himself, and how crazy his hair looks. His eyes stays in there for a second. And Eddy immediately notices.

“Ah! Sorry”, he says brushing his hair with his fingers. “I took a nap with my hair still wet...It's impossible to make it change after it took a direction, you know?” How embarrassing! I want to disappear!, thinks Eddy. Who was taking a nap because he couldn't sleep the whole night, thinking of Brett's visit.

Brett relaxes. This dude won't even notice what I'm wearing. I guess it‘s alright.

“I see”, he answers nodding. “Can I come in?”, he adds looking in to Eddy's eyes.
“Ah, yes! Please”, Eddy mumbles smiling. He looks so...different with out the uniform. That blue shirt it's the same colour as...

Brett pictured the house almost like this. Fancy. Not any house could have a piano so easily. So, he might have change his clothes once or twice before leaving home. He regreted his decision by looking at the other boy's outfit, but he's the same as always. There’s no problem.

“Thank you. Please, excuse me”, Brett says while crossing the door.
Eddy looked for him the day before at school.

Brett was about to start his piano session, when the door slammed again. He didn't even have to turn around. He knew it was him. Here we go...

“Brett!”, he screamed joyfully. “I forgot!”, he said while grabbing a chair to sit behind him at the piano. Not so close, Brett sighs.
“This is my address”, he said placing a small piece of ripped paper over the keys, right in front of Brett's eyes.

“It's really close from here. But, If you have to take a bus, the one that goes across the avenue, will leave right in front of the house, ok?”. Brett looked at the writing on the paper. Messy and fast. Just like him.

“Ok”, he murmurs, taking the piece of paper and putting it inside his pocket. He takes a big breath, and starts warming his fingers with scales.
“Hey...How long have you been playing?”, Eddy asks looking at him. He doesn't want to leave yet. Just a little...
“Your sound is beautiful, but a bit inaccurate”, he lets out. A shivers runs across Brett's spine. It's like being nude in front of him.
His face is completely red.

“Do you play by ear?”, Eddy asks staring at him. His fingers smashes the piano keys, producing a horrible sound. Brett wants to disappear. Oh, no. He knows I know nothing. Goodbye free piano..
.
“I do”, he confesses and stops playing. “I come here everyday. Since last year...”. Well, whatever it is, he surrenders.

“Really?”, the voice of the boy doesn't sound disappointed. He turns to see his face, and founds him smiling widely. Eyes wrinkling. “That's amazing! I have to took like one hundred classes just to even know how to hold the violin, you know? You're a natural, uh? So cool! There was a guy-”. He continues talking with a laugh. But Brett's not listening anymore.
His face is now fully bright red. Cool? Not being able even to take a piano class is cool? This guy just says whatever is on his mind, right?.
