@harrystyles: Happy Pride month!! I'm sorry it's a bit late into June... but better late than never, right? This June, our eldest daughter, Darcy, who is four, asked us the painful question of why she had two dads and not a dad and a mum. This was because her friends had been asking her at preschool. All of them have a mum and a dad. I didn't quite know how to approach this. She won't understand the complication of this heteronormative and judgemental society. It's getting better, of course, but it's still not usual.. common. You still have to 'come out'. I didn't quite know what to say to little Darcy. Neither did Lou. We just told her that 'love is love' and sometimes a man loves a woman, a woman loves a woman and a man loves a man and that it was most common for a man and a woman. She didn't quite push the subject, but I know it will arise again. If any of you have advice, then um.. tell me in person if you're lucky. This is my little anecdote.
