Not because they tell us that dragons exists,

but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten."

Zeus sat at his desk looking over paperwork and at his many emails.

'Knock knock'

Zeus looked up confused, he had only left Ophelia 20 minutes ago so it surely couldn't be her.

"Come in." He spoke out. The door slowly opened to reveal Ajax.

"My friend, you are already back to work?" Ajax laughed. He couldn't believe this man found his soulmate and within hours was back to work.

"Work doesn't wait or stop." Zeus leaned back. "She needs some time." He added on knowing Ajax would ask.

"I figured. I spoke to her before all of the chaos that happened last night. She seems sweet, but very innocent." Ajax sat on one of the chairs that was right in front of the wooden desk.

"She is." Zeus agreed. "I know you work with her brothers quite a bit. Have you met the family before?"

"Yes actually. I have met everyone besides Ophelia at one of the charity galas in town." Although Ajax was head warrior he dealt with small human affairs especially when it came to protection.

"The parents?" Zeus asked.

"I've only met the mother once, she is a total basket case. The father is dead. The sons had taken over his position."

"Hm. I had Barak call a meeting with the mother tomorrow about Ophelia staying with me. Apparently she won't be happy."

"If you need me to do anything, let me know." Ajax told his friend. "So, how is soulmate life?" A big smile made its way onto both their faces.

"It's fucking fantastic. I feel alive." Zeus spoke happily. "I am trying to take things slow but I can't help myself."

"It's only been a day. Has she tried to stop any of your advances?" Ajax asked.

"No- not really. I don't think she understands any of that. Her mother sheltered her away and apparently never told her about soulmates." This shocked Ajax. "But she slept in my bed last night and she let me hold her. She hasn't complained. I won't take anything too far until I explain things more in depth to her. It would be unfair to her. I would just be taking advantage of her."

"Any of the other gods would happily have someone like her as their mate. She is lucky that you are the one taking things slow."

"Trust me I don't want to." Zeus laughed but he knew he wouldn't allow anything to happen to Ophelia before she was ready.

"I am happy for you man." Ajax had watched his friend become a shell of a person and now he seemed so alive.

"There is one thing..." Zeus wanted to confide in someone else about Ophelia's education. "She is uneducated. Her parents had apparently pulled her out of school very young. Which is another reason I want to speak to her mother."

"What?" Ajax was shocked again. "Her siblings are all highly educated and she is not?"

"From the little I have spoken to her brothers and sisters I have gathered that Ophelia has been singled out. She stopped attending year five."
