“Matthew, you can't keep doing this.”
Cati was sitting on a double bed, a few dirty piles of clothes and food scattered across the floor. “What? Coming over and having sex? From the sounds of things, you liked it—” He smirked, in return, having a pillow thrown at his face.
“I do babe, but I don't want to move too fast. It's only been a month.” She replied, standing up and beginning to clean the room while thinking about what Matthew was going to say next. “I know, and we are going slow, you just have to stop being so frightened. I am not moving in, just stayed for one night. Okay?” He smiled reassuringly, leaning back as Cati watched him for a few moments.
Then, smirked, raising an eyebrow. “Come on, stupid. Here's your shirt.” Chucking a grey shirt at him, as Matthew pulled it on and over his head.
“Well, you know you can call me. How about, dinner? Next Saturday?” He asked, lazily shoving on his jacket while peering down at Cati. The girl smiled and pushed him gently out of her room. “Sure, I’ll call you.” She responded, then closed the door as Matthew left.
Cati sighed and turned to look at her room, beginning to clean up everywhere. Matthew was sweet, he was a player when she first met him but now, he seemed very persistent on dating her, it had been a month and she felt some real progress. It made her hopeful in some strange way.
During the clean up process, she noticed a small teddy lying on the ground. It was brown and red, with a small leaf coming from it's forehead. While smiling, she stepped over to her cupboard, placing it inside and closing the doors.
The place was relatively tidy now, it was good enough at least. Looking over and into her mirror, Cati fixed her hair, then glanced outside the window. Hearing loud screams again. Frowning, she looked down. Damn, another ship. What did it want this time?
Currently, she was on a certain planet, soon enough she would most likely leave, but for now? It was just somewhere she could camp out. Then leave again, and probably brig Matthew with her, or at least ask him if he wanted to come along.
Knocking came at the door as Cati pulled on her black coat and taking the two, double bladed daggers from her table. Swinging open the door and walking past the hotel manager. “C-C-Cati! T-T-There i-i-is a-a-another a-a-attack!” The toad like creature cried out, following after desperately.
“I know, I'll handle it. Stay safe in your room with your children and wife Mr Wyatt. Okay?” She gave him a reassuring smile, then left quickly. Running out and towards the ship, yanking the mouth mask over her face.
Once she heard the loud, excessive yelling, Cati ran faster. Sliding down onto her knees and under the man's arm, grabbing it in the darkness and slicing it open with her dagger. Kicking them as she pushed them far enough away.
Suddenly, the girl had a blow to her jaw. Cracking her neck as she turned to whoever had thrown the hit. Cati had chucked her daggers in the air, distracting the person in front as she punched under her jaw, tripping the stranger up while grabbing the falling daggers and slicing them both into either leg.
It took a moment before she dodged the flying, blue light bullet that was targeted from behind. Sliding out the daggers and flipping around. Charging at the other stranger. How many of them were there?!
Then, she yelled, jumping into the air, twisting around the person's arm spinning them to the ground. Taking their gun and throwing it away. Pointing the dagger at them. “Why have you come here?” Cati growled between gritted teeth.
The identity of the stranger was instantly recognised when he spoke. “C—C-Cati?”
The girl gasped, shaking as she stepped away. Everyone that she had hit down were also recognised. Quill. Gamora. Drax. Rocket. And... The tiny, new born Groot.
“The fucking Guardians of the Galaxy.”
