Aaron was ready to rip some heads off of these damn newborns.
It took a few days before the battle was to begin and she spent most of her time ignoring her family (not that Bella wanted to talk to her) and making plans for afterward. It was going to be hard considering she wasn't telling anyone what was going on.
It would suck most for the boys.
The connection she had with them could never be reciprocated with anyone else. Which is why it was going to be so, so hard. They were her second family, the kind that wouldn't leave her when things got tough. Nor to boss her around.
The girl had a feeling some of them, like Trent and Paul, already knew. But Aaron couldn't stay here. It was killing her inside, not knowing what was going on with her. She didn't want to kill Alice, but doesn't know why it's happening either.
And Jasper.
Not that it mattered anymore since him and Alice were a thing. A part of her wanted to know when that happened, but the bigger part of not caring won out in the end. It would just end with more heartbreak than anyone wanted. All she wanted to do was kill some vampires.
Which is why she found herself in the clearing with the Cullens with the wolves lying in wait in the trees behind them. Aaron tried her best to ignore the glares that were being sent her way, but it was hard. They refused to believe her when she said she had no idea what happened and it kind of sucked.
But she guesses thats her karma for not forgiving them right away.
Aaron didn't hear Alice's voice, but started running the moment the first one broke through. In that moment, she let her guard down not knowing that Edward could hear her every thought - even the ones she couldn't remember.
He stood watching through her eyes as she charged at vampire after vampire - only to find he was wrong. He was so wrong.
Aaron ducked only to punch the vampire in the face. Her fist went flying through it, shattering it to pieces before Trent came over and finished it off. And thats how most of the battle went. She would break most of the newborn only for either Paul or Trent to finish it off.
The only problem was the Cullens refused to get near her making it all just a little hard to actually kill things. And most of the newborns went towards them.
She was about to just give up when she saw him. It was like a cold front washed over her body freezing her in place. There was just something about this man that triggered something in her and before she could figure it out - Jasper snapped the head off of the creature.
Pain shot through her head and she fell to the floor screaming and clutching it. Aaron curled into a ball as the memory hit her.
The redhead smile at her before stalking slowly up to her. "Aaron, darling. I was beginning to think you weren't ever going to find me. Nice work. You're ten times smarter than those wolves you hang with. Not to mention the Cullens. They have someone seeing the future and still can't put two and two together. But you're exceptional. I want you on my team, but first, I need you to do something for me."
"I'll never do anything for you," Aaron spat earning a chilling laughter.
"Like you'll have a choice."
A brunette male stepped forward and smirked before grabbing her by the back of her neck. He looked back at Victoria. "Which one?"
The redhead mulled on it for a bit. "Do Alice."
The male looked Aaron deep in the eyes. "Every time you see Alice Cullen, you'll have a deep desire to kill her. It will be at a random time, but you cannot stop until you do."
"Aaron!"
She felt hands holding on her, but she couldn't stop screaming. Tears fell freely down her face as someone picked her up and put her on her feet. The Cullens stood far away - not even Carlisle coming to see what was wrong.
"Are you okay?" Paul rasped as she finally calmed down. She shook her head and before she could say something, a piercing howl rang out and it was Jacob's turn to fall to the floor. Everyone but Aaron rushed to his side. Because Jacob was considered their enemy, but even so Carlisle and the Cullens ran towards him.
Bella quickly joined as Edward stood there and stared at the young girl. "Were getting married. I thought you would want to know," he whispered to her making the girl choke back a sob. When she looked into his eyes, Aaron knew that he heard everything.
If Bella went through with it - then she is stuck in this life.
Just that thought sent her spiraling and she ran. No one was paying attention - aside from Edward who didn't bother trying to stop her. The girl had already planned to leave, but not like this. She ran straight into another group of red-eyed vampires who looked less than surprised at her before continuing on. But she swore one of them moved to stop her - but a blonde female stopped him.
Charlie and Billy sat in the kitchen back from their fishing trip that was just a ruse. It upset her because they still should be out there. She wasn't supposed to say goodbye like this. "Aaron? Aaron!" Charlie called out as she rushed normally up the stairs. A loud howl echoed making her flinch. Despite not really liking Jacob, she hope he made it through - for Billy's sake.
"I have to leave. Please, Charlie. I need to get away from everything. I feel like I am being suffocated here," she sobbed as he wrapped her into a hug.
It broke his heart slowly as she sobbed into his chest and even more when he made the decision to let her go. She ran around the house getting everything needed and promising to call every time she stopped and when she got there.
Her heart broke slowly because she had a feeling this was going to be the last time being in this house. So she stood there taking it all in with tears down her face - only moving to leave a letter on Bella's pillow. She had no clue if her sister would read it or not, but it held everything she wanted to say.
Five pages worth anyway.
And with one last hug - Aaron Swan disappeared from Charlie's house.
