Suddenly the diggers stopped, when one of their worker's spade hit something. They clear the mud to found out what it is. It looked like a leather bag. When they opened the bag the smell of rotten flesh hit their nostrils and they could see the dead body in the bag. The workers stepped back screaming calling their supervisor.

Elena and her team was called to the crime scene where the body was found. It was the same suburbs where they have found Alex's body two days prior. The house had been sold and the new owner wanted to do some changes in the lawn that is where they found the body.
"Is it a coincidence?" Elena thought that was the question constantly repeating in her mind.
When they arrived at the crime scene as soon as the call was made. Forensics was already on the scene taking samples. The body had been taken out from where it was buried, it was not recognizable which mean that they would have to wait for finger prints identification. For now they started looking around trying to find more about the incident.
After some time.........
Elena and her team were waiting in the forensics department waiting for the analysis report conducted on the body. The report came and it was not what they expected. The report said that the body is of John Mayor, The missing suspect in Alex Ray's case.
What, how, why was on everybody's mind. They were outside the autopsy room watching from the mirror and thinking.
"So, if John is dead who killed Alex." Peter said to no one particularly. "We have to start the investigation all over again with new perspective. It definitely looked like that John was killed before Alex so, now if we find out who killed John we may find Alex's killer as well." Elena said.
"What are you implying boss? Do you think they have been killed by the same culprit." Edward asked Elena thinking about the same thing himself. "I have had a hunch about Alex's case when we first started to investigate that this is not just a simple murder, i know it is not a serial murder case unless there are three victims. But my sixth sense tells me that this is a serial murder. All we must do is to find out if it is or not." replied Elena
Peter and Edward knew that in there job they should never ignore their hunches or gut feeling as they said it. So they were also thinking about the possibility of this to be the serial murder which was very likely. At that moment the doctor came and tell them that the body is almost two weeks or most likely sixteen days old. The leather bad in which the body was found had something sprayed on it which had quickened the decaying process that's why the body was unrecognizable. we have sent the sample to chemical analysts, we'll get the report in a day and a half. The boy died of heart failure. He was injected with a drug directly in the heart which caused his heart to stopped the same way Alex has died. According to the doctor John had same amount of bruises and cuts inflicted on his body as Alex's even in the same spot. So it is highly possible that the killer is the same. The analysis report said that killer must be right handed,because of the way the cut was made. The weapon was likely to be a normal kitchen knife. Same as Alex's (sorry i forgot to mention this part in the second chapter i m not editing it now so..)
Back at the station.....
They were all at their meeting room after briefing their senior and questioning the previous and new owner of the house. Now they were looking at their timeline board to fit the pieces together.
"So what do we know so far "said Peter. "We know Alex and John were killed by the same person now that's for sure." Edward replied. "Both the houses where their bodies were found their are in the almost same neighborhood just two streets apart." added Elena. "yeah, about the houses the owners of both the houses are living abroad that is the reason they sold the house." said Peter casually but the remaining two were looking at him incredulously. It has just clicked something. "What ?" Peter said looking flustered because of the attention. "THE CARE TAKER" both Elena and Edward exclaimed at the same time.
"Put an APB on the care taker and alert all units, we are going to catch that scumbag" Elena ordered her subordinates and went to the chief to request an arrest warrant. The care taker was the only common lead in the two cases, it cannot be a coincidence for him to be the care taker of the two crime scenes, the only explanation is that he is the one who did this. Besides the no one else could have entered the houses without keys or password for the locks.
The care taker had been a suspect in Alex's case as well but they didn't have any evidence, now is the whole different story. Elena's team and two police unit were outside the care taker's home ready to barge in. They entered the house and surprisingly they found their suspect sleeping in the living room. It is odd thought Elena to herself nevertheless she ordered her men to arrest the person. while she and Edward started to search the house to look for enough evidence to convict him. Thoroughly the searched the house toppled every nook and cranny of the house. One of the constable with them found a bag hidden in the toilet's flush. When they opened it they found the knife with blood on it and two handkerchiefs and two students ID card, surely they were Alex and John and two empty vile of the drug ad injections.
The came back to the station with their suspect. Edward was interrogating the care taker Christian Wright, who was repeating the same thing over and over again that he has not killed anyone, he is innocent. " Is he pleading not guilty" asked Mr. Herald entering the room adjacent to the interrogation room looking to the on going process through the mirror, that separated the two rooms. "Yes Sir, but we have enough evidence to convict him as the forensics have already confirmed the blood on the knife was definitely Alex's and the vile were indeed the same drug that caused the two deaths. It is enough to convict him guilty." Replied Peter. "'Hmm, Alright then
While everything was happening Elena was sitting and watching the entire scene rather quietly. She was deep in thought. She was thinking it was way to easy to catch the man. At first there were not single proof of the killer's existence how he removed every trace of him before and now he was caught with enough evidence to make him guilty. How is that even possible that he remember to erase his finger prints and any sign of him from the crime scene ans the victim's body but forgot to get rid of the murder weapons and students id card. Surely he is not that stupid to keep those thing as souvenir, unless he wants to put the blame on someone or someone wanted to put the blame on it.
Breaking News: The suspect of two murders in the suburbs had been the caught.
He was the care taker of the houses who killed the two students. The police diligently caught on the culprit. Mr. Christian Wright is a drug addict had been convicted previously for DUI more than once, and for physical abuse towards youngsters more than once. As of why he killed the two students, more details has not been issued by the police.
The news was repeating on the television screen.
