"Sir", Elena said desperately. She was at the commissioner's office to get the warrant to search properties under the care of Christian Wright. Earlier they had looked in to the matter, and they found out that there are some other buildings as well which are under his care. The owners of the buildings are, either living in some other city or are abroad.

For some reason she had a feeling that there is something wrong with the entire situation. She had strong intuition that they will find something regarding this case if they search properly. And to follow her sixth sense, she was now standing in the commissioner's office, trying to persuade him to get the warrant.

Somehow suddenly her chief Mr. Herald had taken a leave of absence for a whole week, right after they had questioned him about Daniel Storm. It is just a coincidence. She doesn't want to think anything more than that. Anyhow that was the reason she had to come to the head office, because her chief was not present.

"Look, officer you understand that you are asking me for a warrant to dig up a house based on just what theory; which is just a mere speculation of yours. Moreover, the case you are talking about is already closed. You have caught the culprit." Mr. Johnathan White paused for a moment and then started while looking straight at the female officer standing in front of him. He had never liked the idea of females joining the police force. Regardless, he was not a man with prejudice, he had never let his personal feelings come between his professional responsibilities. But right now, he was struggling to maintain this. The woman in front of him was stubborn. They have been discussing more like arguing for more than an hour and still there was no solution. He just cannot kick her out as well.

"Young lady! you need to learn that not everything works our way, besides do you even realize that you can get terminated by doing this little stunt of yours?"

Elena had have enough of this, people undermining her. She was an intelligent woman, with perception far greater than others, yet she have to go through this all the time. In her career so far, she had solved difficult cases, they knew what she is capable of, but they always tell her that she will loose the job if she doesn't go by the book. She was not having it this time.

"Yes, I know sir that I can lose my job, but what will happen if somehow people get to know that the man we have caught as the suburbs' murderer is the wrong man. And that the police tried to cover up the situation." Elena said mockingly.

"Are you threatening me? You know I can get you arrested right for threatening your senior officer? " The commissioner looked at the young officer disbelieving. "oh no sir! I wouldn't dare. " sarcastic tone in Elena's voice was evident." I was just saying, if I ever left my job or got terminated people will ask questions, you know, paparazzi is always in toe to find anything about me. If someone ask then I have to give them answers and I have to be honest with them. You know my position, right? I am the daughter of the Duke after all." Elena had never used her status. But right now she was willing to do anything, even put her job at stake.

"How about this, you get me the warrant and if I don't find anything , I will resign." Elena proposed.

The commissioner on the other hand was aware that he cannot do anything about the lady, so he thought that he deal is good. If she could not find anything then she will have to resign, and he will make sure she resigns without any word to the media.

"Okay, fine I will get you a warrant. Go look for whatever it is. But if nothing came up then resign without saying a single word to the media. Deal?" said Mr. White.

It was midnight, Elena and her team were in the first house on the list of buildings under Mr. Wright 's care. They had trained dogs with them. They were currently in the backyard, having searched the whole house thoroughly. Nothing was found.

Elena was getting desperate, was her assumptions wrong, at this rate she will have to resign from her job. The stress can be seen on her face. Suddenly, she was interrupted from her thoughts, as she heard the loud barking of the dogs.

The dogs were sniffing around the backyard guided by their trainers. Suddenly they started barking loudly when they reached a tree at the far corner of the backyard. Peter called the diggers to dig the ground.

The diggers were halfway through the digging, when they hit on something. When they took it out it was a leather bag. The same bag in which they had found John's body few weeks earlier.

Elena's stomach flipped at the sight, probably everyone's did. They all were thinking the same thing. Finally, someone opened the bag and it was what they feared, a body, no skeleton of a body. It was old most probably more then five or six years old.

The commissioner was looking at the skeleton, the forensics had assembled on a table. They were now taking samples of the area from where they had found the skeleton earlier. Somehow  it was hard for him to admit that the young officer was right. If he or other officers would have paid attention to the little details, they would have found out about the truth.

"Ms. Wordsworth, you have my permission dug up every nook and cranny of the other buildings as well. Also I am officially opening the case. I will personally held the press conference and issue a statement." He said to his subordinates.

"Sir, I think we should not let the media know about this for now. Because it might alert the culprit, I strongly believe that the care taker is not the culprit," replied Elena.

"Okay, do as you wish. But find the concrete evidence that support your claim until then Mr. Wright is the culprit." Mr. White said dismissively.

After a while:

Elena was at the forensics, looking shocked. They were all shocked. They had searched all the buildings on their list, and shockingly they had found skeletons in every single one of them. So, yes they were shocked although they knew that they will found something, yet nothing would have prepared them for this.

It was a total  of 25 skeletons on the stretcher tables in front of them.
