"Life gave me a second chance... Fuck. No." I crumpled the piece of paper and threw it across the room, aiming for the trash and missing.

You'd think that after a night like last night, I'd be inspired as fuck to write some meaningful ass song lyrics.

But on the contrary, my mind was completely blank.. I had been sitting here for the longest time writing and rewriting lyrics, only to throw them away a second later. I sighed and decided I needed some help.

I stood up and reached into the cupboard above my stove, pulling out a bottle of scotch and a glass cup. I continued to pour ice in my cup and fill it up with liquor, right before chugging it down and helping myself to another.

Around three cups later, I found my pen doing all the work. I wrote down a bunch of junk absentmindedly, not caring wether it rhymed or even made sense. I was almost finished with the entire song, all in less than five minutes, when the door to my room opened and Minji walked out. Wearing nothing but my oversized shirt.

I stopped writing and looked up at her, expecting a smile but having her avoid eye contact with me. She looked down at my feet as she walked towards me.

"Jiho." She stopped when she saw the half empty bottle of scotch, "Y-You're drinking?"

I nodded lazily, "Yeah. I couldn't come up with any lyrics..." I trailed off when I noticed her uncomfortable expression, "Are you okay?"

Minji looked at the wall behind me, "I don't think.." She hesitated to speak. "I'm not so sure a-about what happened last night."

"You regret it?" I asked, suddenly a little pissed.

She shook her head defensively, like if she was scared to hurt my feelings. "No, it's not that it's just-"

"Listen, if you regret having sex with me that's perfectly fine. You don't have to sit there and pretend you fucking love me now or some shit." I spat. Truthfully, I wasn't sure why but I was mad. Was I bad? Did my performance not reach her standards?

"That's not what I meant Jiho." She frowned, "I just think that, well, we just met not long ago and maybe we could've at least waited until we were in a relationship or something."

"Well do you need a fucking envelope sent directly to your door with a bouquet of flowers asking you to go out with me? Because I can't do that and if that's what you expect from a man then maybe last night really shouldn't have happened."

"Calm down. You're making a huge deal about this. I'm not saying I regret it. But what's done is done and I can't take it back."

"But you would if you could?"

Minjis silence was enough of a confirmation I needed. I knew I was a little drunk, therefore more prone to being overly emotional and violent. But I still didn't bother to think it through as I took my cup and threw it across the room, causing Minji to jump.

The cup shattered to pieces as it hit the wall. The half melted ice and last bit of alcohol in it stained the wall and fell in a puddle on the floor.

"You didn't have to do that." Minji hissed, "I'm not saying that I regret sleeping with you, and yes I'd take it back if I could. But not because I-I didn't like it, because I feel it's too early for this and I don't even know what we are. At this point, we're just two hormonal adults that kiss and make out. No, I don't want a circus act or box of chocolates asking me to be your girlfriend. I just want to know that that's what I am, and not just some booty call like that bitch in your song."

I stood still, just staring at her.

She was right, we weren't officially going out. But clearly, judging from the handful of times we'd kissed, we would be at one point.

"Is this really about us having sex?" I asked quietly.

Minji simply walked over to the back of my kitchen and dug around in there before reappearing with a broom and dustpan in hand.

She walked over to the shattered glass, barefoot, and began to sweep up the mess. "That was actually a really pretty cup you just ruined."

I quickly grabbed her before she could hurt herself and sat her down on the couch, "You're really going to try to clean up broken glass in only a shirt?" I scoffed and began to pick up the pieces bit by bit.

"I can take care of myself you know." She muttered and tried to push me aside so she could keep cleaning.

"Minji." I exhaled, "You're going to hurt yourself." She opened her mouth to protest but instead sucked in a quick breath before pulling her hand back from the mess. She held her index finger up, revealing a cut next to her nail, blood slowly oozing out of it.

I sighed and dragged her to the sink, "What did I tell you?"

Minji watched me intently as I ran her finger under the faucet, the cold water slowly washing away the blood. I opened my drawer of junk behind me and took out a hello kitty band aid, wrapping it around her wound.

"Cute." She smirked at me.

I chuckled and felt my cheeks start to burn, "I-It's my nieces." I lied.

"I thought you said you didn't have any family?" I tried to think up of another lie to cover this one, but I just stood there with my mouth open. Minji laughed at my reaction, causing me to laugh with her.

"Thank you." She said once the laughter died down and we were left standing there awkwardly.

I nodded cooly, "Yeah. No problem."
