The first day I spent drinking, typically, and cursing her name.

The second was dedicated to producing and recovering from a hangover.

The third day, I got a new tattoo, hoping the pain would take her off my mind once and for all.

And during the fourth, she was all I could think about.

By the fifth day, I didn't even try to think of something else.

Now I was on my sixth day without Minji and I was dangerously close to having a mental breakdown.

I laid on my living room floor and stared up at the ceiling, tracing its weird texture while at the same time trying to figure out a way to get Minji back.

She'd been pretty clear on the fact that she didn't want me anymore. Or at least for the time being.

And I doubted I could just show up and apologize to her, she'd slam the door in my face quicker than Jaehyo can pick up a chick and get her naked in his bed.

His record was six minutes. But only because the girl'd been easy and lived across the hall from him.

I cleared my throat and sat up, reaching for my laptop that sat on my couch. When I turned it on, it was already set on the website I wanted.

After almost an hour of scrolling past a bunch of bullshit apartments, I was finally able to find a pretty decent house.

One just like Minji had described, a house over looking the ocean in Incheon. I grinned to myself as I looked through the pictures of the place.

It was perfect.

Still smiling from ear to ear, I jotted down the number with pen onto the back of my hand.

My stomach was giving awkward flips inside of me while I walked up those familiar five cement steps.

Not even three hours and I already had everything set.

My right hand clutched the tiny metal key in my pocket and the other held a hard covered book I'd picked at random from some cheap bookstore five streets from here.

I swallowed back my heart and forced myself to knock, instantly regretting it.

Of course she was going to say no, this was a fucking stupid idea. What the fuck was I thinking!?

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

The small window of opportunity for me to run and take this entire thing back was quickly shut as the front door clicked open and revealed what looked like a stressed out Minji.

She has prominent dark rings that hung under her eyes. Her clothes were two sizes to big and her hair looked dull, pulled back in a ponytail.

Once she laid eyes on me, I literally saw that stress go up by, probably sixty seven percent.

Her brows furrowed and she opened her mouth to speak. "Don't say anything. Please." I interrupted her.

We stood there engulfed in an awkward silence for a couple of minutes until I offered the small book to her. To my relief, her eyes light up slightly from the sight of it.

She snatched it from my grip eagerly and held it behind her back.

I cleared my throat and slowly took my hand out of my pocket with the key still between my fingers. I had no idea what to say, or do. Or how to approach her with this. I already knew I was going to get rejected... So I might as well just..

"What is it, Jiho?" Minji interrupted my thoughts with an impatient tone.

I laughed nervously and rubbed the back of my neck. Without giving it a second thought, I simply went for it and held up the tiny silver key.

She stood there confused and simply stating at the thing. "Um, okay? What's that?" She finally asked.

"Th-the key." I stuttered, "To our n-new house.. In Incheon..." I gave my best smile as I mentally prepared myself for the sting of rejection that was bound to come sooner or later.

Minji stood there with a blank expression. She looked at the key, then back at me. At the key, then at me.

She did that for a couple minutes before letting out a small chuckle. Soon that chuckle turned into giggles and then to laughter. Until she was full on cackling right in front of me.

Thanks for making me feel like a complete jackass.

"Look if you don't want to just say no, don't make me look like a fucking fool." I hissed above her hysteria with an annoyed tone..

Minji, who had been bent over and clutching her waist, stood up straight and let out a couple more giggles before speaking, "I-It's not you Im laughing at.. Its just," She struggled to find the right words.

"Your timing couldn't be more on point, honestly." She gave me a sheepish smile and looked past me.

"What?" Now it was my turn to be completely confused.

Minji sighed before stepping aside and silently inviting me into her home. I did as she gestured and took a seat on her couch.

An old movie was playing on her tv and a pile of blankets covered the floor.

"Um." She frowned at the tv for a moment, "I just got into a huge argument with my mom.. I told her how I felt about her working all the time and we just sort of ended up screaming at each other."

I stayed quiet and listened carefully as she told me the details. Her and her mom had been yelling for quite some time before Minji was called ungrateful and then slapped.

"That was two days ago and we haven't spoken to each other since then."

I nodded and stood up before walking towards her room, "Pack your stuff then. You're moving out."
