I knew I was awake. But I still didn't want to get up. I was so warm, so comfortable. But with a deep sigh, I rolled over only to find the other side of the bed empty. I lifted my body to wake up more, and Jin was not in the bed with me.
Then I heard it.
"Please, dad! I promise nothing is going to happen, its just ice cream and a movie."
"I know what happens at the movies."
"Yeah, there is a film on a big screen and loud speakers."
I laughed at her sarcasm.
I know exactly where she gets that from. I threw the covers off the bed and started making my way to the living room when I heard Jin respond.
"You know you sound more and more like your mother each day."
I rounded the corner and leaned against the wall to see Hana rolling her eyes.
She got that from me too.
"You mean, more clever, witty, and gorgeous?" I asked making Jin jump out of his seat and turn.
Hana laughed taking a seat on the couch as Jin smiled wide at me. "Good Morning Jagi."
"Good morning." I replied walking over and placing a kiss to his lips. When we disconnected, I stayed close to his face, locking his eyes with mine. "So is there a problem with our daughter becoming more like me?"
"Of course not." He grinned.
"Well then," I leaned up and look at Hana who is still trying to hide her giggling. "I think that means she is old enough to go on a date."
"Really mom?" she gasped; her eye wide.
"What are the rules we talked about?" I said taking a seat next to her.
"To call if I feel uncomfortable and want to come home, don't do anything I don't want to do. And to be sure that I think about my actions before I partake in them."
"And no kissing." Jin added.
I scoffed looking over to him. "She's 17, I'm sure she's had her first kiss by now."
Hana blushed, and pulled her long dark hair to her right shoulder running her fingers through it. She always does this when she is embarrassed or nervous.
"What?" Jin shouted.
I looked over to Hana. "Hana?"
"Well um...I haven't yet mom." Her eyes were cast down and another blush spread through her cheeks.
I lifted her chin so she would look at me and placed a soft kiss to her nose. "Sweetie, you don't have to do anything you don't want to. But if you want to kiss him...kiss him."
"NO!" Jin replied.
"Oh stop." I said to him, Hana laughing again. "When was your fist kiss, huh?"
He paused, quickly shutting his opened mouth. "Th-that is irrelevant."
I rolled my eyes. "Uh huh...So when is the movie?" I asked turning back to my daughter.
"Well he wanted to go get ice cream after dinner, then go see the movie. It gets out around 1, and I told him it was a little late but I'd ask."
"No." Jin growled.
"Who's driving?" I asked, ignoring my now red husband.
"Well I was going to drive to his house, then he was going to drive us."
