i was in a bad mood, so i'm sharing it with y'all, have some angst😔

Naruto lay in bed, tears welling in his eyes. His sensei was gone, and he wasn't sure how he was going to move on.

You opened his bedroom door, a bag of instant ramen in hand. You knew he hadn't been out of his home in a while, so you came to bring him some food and comfort. Sitting on the wooden chair in the corner, you sent him a weak smile.

"Naruto, I-I came to check on you. You have been out in a while. I know you're upset, but you've got to look after yourself. You'll get really sick if you don't, so I got you some food and I just want to spend time with you."

"Go away, Y/n. I'm fine."

"You're not fine, I know that much. So just eat something, and I'll leave."

"I already ate."

"There's nothing in your kitchen, you couldn't've eaten."

Naruto rolled over, his back facing you, and sighed. He really didn't want any company at the moment, so why couldn't you leave him alone.

"Just leave, Y/n."

"No. What kind of girlfriend would I be if I let you hurt yourself like this?"

"One that knows when to fuck off."

His words surprised you; he had never spoken to you like that, and you didn't want to start an argument while he was this upset.

"Naruto, I'm going to forget you said that because of the situation, but you really need to get out of bed and get back to life."

"Y/n, get out."

He stood up, storming out of his room. You followed, bag in hand.

"I'm not going anywhere until you eat and go outside."

"I don't want to. Go away."

"I don't want to. Eat something."

"This isn't funny, Y/n. Leave."

He held the front door open, gesturing to the hallway.

"No, I don't want to leave you alone like this. I understand how you feel, and I wanna help you."

"You have no idea how I feel."

His tone was dark and sinister. You were shocked. He was never like this. He was always, happy smiling Naruto, and even if he upset. It made your worry grow; if he was acting like this, something was deeply wrong.

"I do, Naruto. Just let me hel-"

"Shut up!"

He grabbed you by the shoulders, throwing you into the hallway. The door before you shut forcefully and tears fell from your eyes.

You tried to help him, you tried to be a good girlfriend, to be a good person, but here you were, in tears. You really did understand how he felt, but he must've forgotten. However sad he was, if he was going to treat you like this, he wasn't worth it.

"Shika, look at that cloud! It looks like a bunny!"

"Okay, you must be blind if you think that's a bunny. It's clearly a sheep."

You huffed and nudged his arm, continuing your walk to the barbecue restaurant. Everyone was meeting there for dinner, and you saw Shikamaru on your way, deciding to walk with him. Naruto had left ages before you, in a flurry of excitement, so you'd been on your own, for the most part.
