He arrived at the garage with a hop in his step. Opening the door he walked through the living room towards the elevator. He stepped in and pulled the lever... which sent him rocketing down the shoot.
"AAAAAAAGGGGHH"
BOOM
He stumbled out when the door opened, shaking his head to regain his balance he made his way to the lounge. Gage entered the room and was unsurprised to find the guys sitting on the couch with larry at the counter. He was about to enter when he was tackled by a mountain of fur, he let out a high pitched shriek as he hit the floor gaining the other's attention. Rollie's wet slobbery tongue slopped over his face several times.
"Aah Rolly no get off" he laughed as he tried to push the dog off. Larry came to his rescue and picked up the pooch with wheels for feet. He stood up and wiped the dog drool from his face. "eww I smell like dog slobber now" Wyatt was laughing his ass off, Rhett was trying to be nice and hold it in, and Brandon just smiled. Larry put rolly down on the floor and chuckled deeply. "sorry Gage rolly got into the coffee pot this morning" rolly barked and padded away, the older man shook his head and turned his attention to the boys. Moving over to the couch Gage sat in between Brandon and Rhett."Now, you boys have been informed about the situation and I want you to know that the person doing the interview is... eccentric" Gage could feel Rhett tense up beside him, he never liked the news people and frankly, he couldn't argue why. Brandon had a look of indifference on his face and Wyatt just glared into the void. Wyatt raised his hand.
"Uh, Larry why didn't you ask for... a calmer one" Larry's face fell to a grimace. he walked to the counter and grabbed his phone.
"No, unfortunately, the man I spoke to said they only had one available and they would try their best to keep her in check" he heard Brandon let out a sigh of relief.Gage adjusted himself on the couch and leaned forward to scan his friends' faces. They were not happy. He personally didn't like to dislike people or hold grudges, he liked to think that there was some good in everyone, that everyone could be a good person if they just try... but some times it felt like no one else felt the same.
"Hey, uh Larry when does this interview start" the mechanic pulled out his phone.
"in about an hour""so that gives us how long to get ready" Brandon's voice was flat and lacked emotion which wouldn't be all that surprising normally but the ever-present lack cynicism was strange.
"20 minutes, so hop to it" the boys were rushed out of the room and into the hanger where their suits and cars were.
"suit up boys we've got an appointment"The lobby of the hotel was huge, every wall was cover in a gorgeous red paint, the gold wallpaper on the beams and door frames contrasted nicely against it. The large red carpet on the ground appeared to almost shine from the light emitting from the large crystal chandelier. Gage whistled as they walked through it in full uniform, the employees were all dressed in the same scarlet uniform, the general atmosphere felt like something out of a movie. When Larry approached the front desk the lady behind the counter light up like the sun.
"Team hot wheels, so nice of you to visit, my name is Carol and I have been informed of your situation and will direct you to the designated room" Gage noticed that Wyatt's face scrunched up, he placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled.
"Thank you so much" The stewardess nodded, waving her hand in the direction of the elevator she started walking. They followed.
They were led to a large master suite, in the living area were cameras, lights and other various filming equipment. Sitting on on of the couchs was a young blonde woman, wearing a very slimming red dress. One of the camera crew noticed them and tapped her on the shoulder. She snapped her head toward the door and smiled, standing up she made her way over flicking her hips up as she walked. She held out her hand to Gage. He took it.
"Why hello there, my name is Jennifer Harper and I will be your interviewer today" She didn't sound so bad. She gestured to the plush white couches.
"Please have a seat so we can begin"
They went and sat. She was about to sit but paused, looking each in the eyes she grabbed a small pouch and pulled out a com powder and a brush.
"You should look your best while on the air... hold still"
She applied a light layer of powder to both Rhett and Wyatt who exchanged glances.
"I've never had makeup on before, I'm not gonna lie but I kinda like it" Rhett laughed.
"I feel pretty" she made her way to Brandon and moved the brush toward his face... he slapped it out of her hand.
"No." She raised an eyebrow then shrugged.
"Fine but dont blame me if you look bad on camera" she went to pick up the brush when a gloved hand grabbed it and held it up to her. She looked at the smiling latino and took the brush.
"Stay still k hun I don't wanna get any in your eyes"
He complied. She gazed at his face as she applied the powder.
"You have a very attractive face you know that right kid"
His eyes snapped open as his cheeks became lined with a red hue. He rubbed the back of his neck.
"Oh uh thank you"
She nodded.
"K all done, every one get into position we're lighting this baby up"
He sat back down.
Lights.
Taking a deep breath he let himself relax.
Camera.
Just smile answer the questions and everything with be fine.
