- C h a p t e r 5 -

"Tamayo-san...what is the relation of that girl and Muzan?" Yushiro asked the 'love of his life' as soon as the (H/C) haired girl and burgundy haired boy left.

"Yushiro-kun...have you ever heard of reincarnation?"

"Where are you going to go now (Y/N)-chan? " Tanjiro asked as both folks wandered out of the crowded streets of Tokyo.

"Probably back to the village I live? " I shrugged off.

"Let me accompany you then."

"What? No, it's fine. You probably have some important 'demon slayer' business going on."

"Nope! It's already very dark (Y/N)-chan. There might be demons lurking around."

"No, serio-"

"I won't take no for an answer."

"Ugh fine" I gave up. We walked through the forest I originally ran out of and chatted for bit until Tanjiro stopped and immediately took out his blade.

"Come out here you demon!" he yelled.

"Ahaha, my my, it must be my lucky day. Two fresh meats coming my way. " the demon laughed darkly. He came out behind a tree. A huge wicked smile on its hideous face.

"I'm gon-" but before it could finish. I saw his head rolling on the grass and it stopped at my feet. Making me yelp and back away

I saw Tanjiro putting his balde back on its sheath.

"Are you okay?" he went by my side.

"Uh yeah. Wait, did you do that?"

"Yeah..ehehe" he answered shyly.

"That was fast and pretty cool"

We continued walking while keeping our guards up because who knows when will a demon pop up, well aside from Tanjiro since he have a keen sense of smell.

"Thanks for walking me home Tanjiro-kun" I thanked him as I went in the wooden gate guarding a small village.

"No problem (Y/N)-chan! "

"You can stay for the night. Since it's already very dangerous outside" I said as I opened the gate a little bit more for him to go in.

"Really? Thanks (Y/N)-chan! " he went in and helped me pushed the gate close.

We quietly stride along the concrete pathway with lamp posts guiding our way.

Tanjiro looked around the small village and saw Wisteria flowers surrounding the residents.

"We're here" the burgundy haired boy took off his gaze and focused on her.

I slide the dark oak door and turn the lamp on.

"Sorry for intruding" Tanjiro mumbled as he took off his footwear and placed it by the door.

"You and Nezuko will be sleeping here tonight. " I showed him my guest room as
he nodded.

I gave him a little tour around the house incase he needs something.

"We should be going to bed. It's already late." I told him as I gave him an extra blanket.

"Yeah.. "

I bid them good night as I went back to my room. Throwing the sword somewhere in my room. Feeling tired, I immediately dived into my bed, my consciousness running off.

"Thanks for letting me stay the night (Y/N)-chan! "

"No worries " I gave him a smile as I walk him out of the village.

"CAW! CAW! CAW! Tanjiro head East! Tanjiro head East! " I glanced around and saw a crow flying above Tanjiro.

What the...IT CAN TALK!?

"Ughh..can I take break? " he whined.

"No" the crow sternly said as it keeps on hitting Tanjiro in the head.

"Ok ok ok" Tanjiro rubbed his head and looked at me.

"Now I really need to go. Thanks again (Y/N)-chan! "

"Yeah you're welcome! " I waved him goodbye as he run off but stopped suddenly, almost slipping. He turned to me, "Oh yeah! And if you're going to go out of the village, always bring with you a bunch of wisteria flowers! It keeps a demon away from you" he shouted.

"Um okay thanks? " I shouted back. Watching him smile, and continue to run off.

'The Wisteria huh... ' I wondered. My eyes casting over the flowers that surrounded the while village.

'Is that why no demons come here? '

"(Y/N)!" I heard someone gasp. I turned my head and saw an elderly woman. "Where were you last night?! You scared the life out of me thinking you might be in danger" she scolded.

"Ehehe..sorry granny. A lot has happened when I got to Tokyo. " I scratched my head.

She heaved a sigh, "It's alright. The important thing is you're alive and breathing. Just don't stay out too late next time alright? "

"Sure~"

"Good. Now come and help me with the harvest (Y/N) dear. "

"Haii~" I followed the elderly lady. This is what I usually do in here. Helping with the things I can. People living here are mostly elders and a bunch of kids. I'm grateful for them for letting me live here.

I used to be a thief or outsider after all.
