"Mac, I feel like a snob wearing this, its far to expensive," I whined to Mac who was sitting on bench behind me, reading through some papers. Mac had taken me to his favourite tailor to get a suit made up for me after guilting me into agreeing to go to one of his family's parties. I didn't realize that it was going to be this fancy or have such a big price tag. He shuffled the papers back together before putting them in his suitcase that he had left underneath the bench. He got up and motioned for the seamstress to stop for a moment. She bowed her head and left the mirrored changing room.

"You look great, and you were the one who was afraid that you weren't going to fit in at the party tomorrow night," Mac murmured as he grabbed my hands and kissed them. Since I was standing up on the designing platform, we were nearly the same height for the moment.

"I don't even really want to go to this."

"I know, but I really do appreciate you keeping me company, I don't know if I could endure another one of these things and not lose my sanity," Mac commented as he let go of my hands and he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer.

"I know but don't you think that this is a bit much?" I asked as I gestured down to the Italian black suit that he was having fitted for me.

"Honestly, I'm holding back, I knew that you would be mad at me if I went a bit too overboard with the gift," Mac replied and for a moment he looked nervous. "Do you really not like it?"

"Its not that," I sighed giving in, and resting my head against his forehead. "Its just that I'm not really used to getting pampered or expensive things, and it does make me a bit uncomfortable. I do feel a bit better that you didn't go all out on the expensive suits, but this is still way more than I could ever afford."

"Consider it a gift and an apology," Mac commented as he leaned in closer for a quick kiss. "Now let's finish this up so that we can go back to my place to relax for a bit."

Mac walked over to the doorway and called for the seamstress to come back so that we could finish up the hemming of my suit. Mac made me wait by the door as he paid for the suit. They had said that it would be at least a couple hours before the suit would be ready. I stared out the front window of the shop, thinking about what this kind of party would be like. I had never really been one to go out to parties, my studies had been far too important, but the one party that I had gone to was not to my liking. When Mac came back over to meet me by the door he seemed very pleased with himself.

"Can we talk about this party that I'm going to? Just so that I can get a handle on what I should be expecting when I arrive there before we do any kind of relaxing," I asked Mac as we walked out of the store and towards his black Hennessey Venom GT. I stopped trying to keep track of all the different cars that he owned but this one was one of the ones that I remembered the most and quickly became one of my favourites.

"Alright, what would you like to know?" Mac asked as he unlocked the car and got into the driver's seat, I popped open the door on the passenger's side and stepped into the passenger's seat of the car as Mac started it up.

"How should I act? Should I just stick to you or would you prefer that I wander around and try to entertain myself?" I asked him as I buckled up my seatbelt, waiting for him to back out of the parking spot.

"I don't mind if you'd want to stick close to me, like I said earlier I may have to disappear every once in a while, but I won't be gone for too long so at that point you'd have to wander on your own."

"Okay, are there people that I should avoid talking to?"

"Hmm, I don't think so but my brother and my sister will be there so they can help you out if I'm not around."
