"Yoongi, have you seen Jungkook?" Jin asked walking into the main room of the pack house. The latter shook his head while frowning.

"Why did something happen?" Yoongi asked getting up from the couch.

"I have to give his pills," Jin said to which Yoongi rolled his eyes.

"He doesn't need pills Jin. His mate died and you know what happens when a mate dies. We can only help him and take some of the pressure off his shoulders." Yoongi stated

"I know that but try telling it to his asshole parents. They keep asking me if he took them no matter how many times I try to ask them to stop making him take it. Plus don't you know they want him to find a new mate. They are pushing females on him as if he isn't already suffering. I think they failed to remember his last attempt at joining Taehyung." Jin ranted with mixed emotions. All of a sudden though he heard his name being called from upstairs and then the smell of blood began to flow throughout the house.

The two looked at each other before quickly sprinting up the stairs as if their lives depended on it. The smell got stronger the closer they got. It led Jungkook's room inside his bathroom.

There he lay grasping a polaroid picture of himself and Taehyung. Blood leaked out of his split wrist as a razor sat covered in blood next to him. Jungkook had stopped himself from healing. He didn't look like he was in pain though and for a split second Jin thought about letting him die. It was mercy. If he were to save him, he would be alive. But he would always be dead inside. A huge, gaping hole in his heart left out for everyone to see. The once bright star that was always in Jungkook's eyes burnt out the second Taehyung was officially pronounced dead.

Jungkook had a smile on his face now, he was truly happy laying there, bleeding out. His eyed held this sort of relief and Jin didn't want to be the one to take that away.

But he had to. Call him selfish but Jungkook was his best friend, his brother. He practically raised him when his real parents didn't. He had to be selfish this time, like he was all the other times.

So he grabbed his med kit from under the sink. He had put it there after Jungkook's first attempt. He patched him up and looked back into his best friend's eyes. In them held a new emotion, one Jin had become familiar. Resentment.

Of course, he would hate him. In Jungkook's eyes, Jin was taking away his opportunity to see his mate. He despised him because of it.

"I hate you, so, so much. Why won't you let me be with him?" He said just before he passed out. Jin finally let his tears fall from his eyes as he stared down at his friends now peaceful face. Yoongi watched from the door with tears of his own.
