Song: say you wont let go

"Look, you may have graduated with adequate grades, but we will not be accepting your application due to the fact that other student grades are better than these."

When I was eighteen, I applied to the college of my dreams. I had high grades, but they failed to take me in.

"Please stop wasting our time and leave please."

My heart broke.

I have a job at a diner, but I'm there 99% of the time, and sleep at a friends house at night, just so I can get by. She even buys me food, which is nice.

One day, however, a man walked in and changed my life forever.

"Usual, Ms. (Y/N)!" Mark put his money on the counter. But it was a lot more than $2.30.

"I'm sorry, it's only $2.30," I tried to give him the money back.

"No no, you keep the rest. I want that to go towards your profession," he smiled widely at me.

That money, helped me get the years of schooling I needed, and I'm greatful for the customer we had. I didn't quit the job, due to the fact that I loved it, but I also needed extra money to get by.

The less I worked, the less I could see Mark. He was a generous guy, whom I accidentally fell in love with. He helped me in so many ways, just by giving me the right amount of money I needed. And (however many years it would take for your dream job in college) years later, I finally get to thank him for it.

Youtube.

Youtube allowed me to continue to see him thrive in his own little world, and I enjoyed it. And he's coming back home for his tour, and my friends and I are going to see him for the first time in a while.

"Are you sure you're ready?" Angie looked over at me. I was struggling to put my hair up, I was so happy and nervous at the same time.

"Of course Ang, I'm almost done," I bit my lower lip.

"Tyler, can you help her please?"

Tyler was my brother, and he has a really good relationship with Mark. In fact, he just got home from L.A. to be in the tour himself. He was stopping by.

"Sis, come on, you wouldn't want to have Mark look at your hair and think 'WHAT IS THAT THING?' Would you?" He fixed my hair.

I groaned, "he's not gonna recognize me anyways." It had been (_) years since I've seen him last."

"He talks about y- euphoria," Tyler fixed himself. "You know, the song."

"That has nothing to do with what I just said Ty," I mouthed 'thank you' after he finished fixing my hair.

"Let's go then! We have to bring Tyler back as soon as possible!" Angie hurried us out to the car.

The building was already hopping with people outside, but Tyler managed to get us to our seats and had someone bring us drinks. "Must be nice having a hip brother huh?"

"Sure," I looked to the ground. I never got to see him often.

The show began almost an hour and a half later. They all had cool little enterances, or silly, I mean. "Tyler has a special guest that I have to look for, but I'm sure I'll find them," he laughed. "Which one of you has a wig on and is actually a man?" He searched. He even looked right at me, I had a giggle myself.

He started to do little skits with the boys and even started to sing songs. One, however, made him catch my eye.

It was my favorite song.

"Just say you won't let go," he sang, smiling. "And what do you know, I found the person I've been looking for." A strong blush pushed itself on my face. He took a deep breath. "You know, I had the biggest crush on this girl back then, right before she went to college. She worked at this coffee shop that I would always go to, and I never remembered the name of my coffee, I always called it-"

"The 'usual'," I finished, as Tyler rushed me onto stage. "I wanted to come here, because not only am I your biggest fan, but you helped me. Without your help I wouldn't have gotten to go to school, and I could have ended up homeless. There's no other way to thank you, besides saying thank yo-"

I wasn't expecting such a thing happening from a man I haven't seen in years, but he kissed me, in front of thousands of people. "No, thank you," he smiled.

A/N: this was requestedish, I kinda changed it a bit but its because I wrote at different times with only (not even reading) going over the words. However, my excuse on this bad writing is because I haven't done anything like this in a long time.

I really like writing for you all. My next semester with school, I'm planning on part-time. I was way too stressed out full-time and I literally COULD NOT do anything.

I should be finishing homework right now y'all.

I love you guys <3.
