"And if I refuse...?" Honestly I was starting to get a little irritated. How can the creator of evil be so... happy-go-lucky?

"Refuse? Impossible." Satan simply stated. "Besides you already hold his mark, we just need to complete the ritual."

My hand instinctively went to cover the letter "L" that was forming on my neck. "It's not like I wanted this!"

"I don't know... it seemed like you wanted it the night I gave it to you." Leviathan smirked at me "You were practically begging for me."

I could feel the blush across my cheeks. "You're vile!"

"Look, you both get along so well! Already like a married couple." Satan chirped happily and oblivious to the death glare I was giving his son.

"Besides, without that mark, you'd be dead or worse in a matter of mere hours." Leviathan ran his fingers through his hair casually.

"What are you talking about?" I crossed my arms. I was sick of being left in the dark until last minute while they sat up in their seats looking down at me like an idiot. The thought was making me more and more upset.

The one who answered was the brother sitting a seat in front of Jace. "You bear your soul for the world to see."

The brother stood and walked down the steps slowly towards Satan and I. His muscles were prominent under his back suit. Instead of the simple black tie like Leviathan and the crimson tie of his father's, he had on a blue tie. He was tall but not as tall as his eldest brother.

"Tirian." Leviathan warned.

Tirian chuckled "With the soul and blood of an angel, even the lowliest demon would attempt to snatch you." He took a strand of my hair and bent down, breathing in my scent. "Even I don't think I could resist..." His golden flecked eyes pierced into mine, I shuttered.

"Watch yourself, brother." Leviathan was there in an instant, knocking Tirian's hand away from me. "This is mine."

"I agree with Tirian." A rounder, shorter brother said inhaling deeply. "Do you smell that?" He inhaled again and licked his lips. "Mouth-watering."

I inhaled too... and smelt nothing.

Leviathan glared at his brothers "This is mine and mine alone. All who fail to understand will be severely punished." He grabbed my wrist and headed for the door out of the room.

I looked behind us and saw each brother staring at us. The brother sitting on the left side of Jace was staring more intently than the others, although his face was expressionless, his eyes watched our every movement like a hunter. Satan gave me a little wave goodbye and winked. Winked? Winked?!

As we left the room, the little demon girl from before was there again holding a candle to light our way. She bowed slightly in the presence of Leviathan, she kept her head and gaze down the whole time.

"What are you doing?" I tried to tug my wrist out of his grasps but he only tightened it.

"I knew I should have done this earlier." His voice was deep and dripping with venom.

"Done what? What are you about to do?" This was crazy. He was crazy. His family was crazy. I was crazy.

Leviathan started to walk quicker, pulling me long with him, not answering.
